POSTED: 8:17 am EDT June 3, 2005

GLEN COVE, N.Y. -- Nassau County police said three people have been arrested for shooting a 31-year-old man near his Glen Cove home on May 11.

Police said Jabbar McBride was shot once in the chest on Glen Cove Avenue. He died about an hour later at North Shore University Hospital.

Police said 20-year-old Milton Rivas, of Uniondale, was charged with second-degree murder. Two 17-year-olds from Roosevelt were charged with gang assault for being along for the ride. They were identified as Franklin Moronta and Juan Perez.

Police did not give a motive for the shooting.

Default Crime in Nassau County

According to Newsday and the Suozzi Administration, crime is way down in Nassau County. Glen Cove is ridden with gangs and crime. But the average voter doesn't know that because it continues to protect Mr. Suozzi. WAKE UP, PEOPLE! VOTE HIM OUT.

Get a grip. No one claimed crime was 0.0%. There has always been crime and always will be. Fact is that there is less now than there was 5 years ago.
