View Full Version : Suozzi/ncpd Hit New Low

INFECTIOUS NCPD FACILITY

In the County Executive's now infamous attempt in saving dollars on the backs of County employees, a new low was hit. He put the pressure on all departments to save money, apparently even if it entails endangering employees.

Some more prominent cases involved an incident in the EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER (EOC) of the NCPD.

While 'sprucing' up the EOC is a valient effort in fruitlessness (much like sticking ones thumb in a damaged levy in New Orleans to stop the water), they recently decided to paint a stairwell. Very Nice.

Except they did not prep and partition the area off. While using toxic oil based epoxy paint on the steps in a facility with numerous pregnant females working. To make matters worse, they put on the air circulation system to efficiently spread the toxic fumes throughout the overcrowded facility with no windows and no direct doors to the outside (its a bunker 40 feet underground).

Upon complaining, the Union shut the job down. The pregnant females, fearing for the health/safety of thr unborn child were allowed to leave.

However, they had to use thr sick leave time! That is an insult and embarrassment. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Another example is the cut-back on limited heat. Employees are forced to wear hoods and in some cases gloves on the overnight when the temperature drops. Yet if one gets sick, they penalize the employee.

Yet, and perhaps even more alarming is not supplying paper towels to wash ones hands after using the toilet facilities. Perfect breeding grounds for some kind and friendly diseases as E-COLI. And how quick this can spread as the employees of the facility operate a keyboard and computer mouse.

One employee who deposits thr fecal/urine bacteria on the keyboard and computer mouse, the relieving employee unknowingly picks it up.

Perhaps those in the newly constructed Taj Mahal on One West Street can watch thr own employees on thr large flat screen LCD TV's mounted on the office walls working in these foul, unsanitary County facilities make the news when they are sick with a disease caused by these 'efficient cutbacks.'

They should be ashamed of themselves. Cut the fat from the top.

Very curious why they decided to paint this stairway now. Usually they paint it prior to open house week, when the public gets to see it.

Did the union shut it down before they finished? They missed more spots than they painted or they used old paint that wouldn't dry. It still stinks.

THAT IS IRONIC

Why do YOU think they missed more spots than they painted?

Another Suozzi initiative: CUT BACK ON THE LIGHTING. IT IS A DARKENED AREA AND THE COUNTY HAS CUT BACK ON THE USE OF LIGHTING IN COUNTY BUILDINGS.

It would take a bill put forth before the legislature to approve lighting up an area to be painted.

The Jail is a joke

Too bad no one can see whats going on inside the Nassau County Jail.
The jail administration (namely the former cook, turned Law Enforcement wonder kid) decided to cut back on ALL cleaning and disinfecting supplies. They also stopped delivering all manor of plastic garbage bags. This is a jail with over 1800 inmates and over 1000 employees that now has NO CLEANING SUPPLIES OR GARBAGE BAGS, in which to remove refuse, clean vomit, blood, spit, urine, feces. Sheer genious. I guess they didnt teach hygiene at that abbreviated Harvard University 2 week course on how to be a sheriff huh?
Its only a matter of time before there is a breakout of some disastrous funk at the hole in the ground called the Nassau County Correctional Facility. But hey I look cook driving around with my friends in my smoked out Crown Vic, dont I?

UNREAL COUNTY

You have got to be kidding. NO GARBAGE BAGS or CLEANING SUPPLIES at the JAIL?

What is going on at these two facilities that are alleged to be made secure.

One facility is the law enforcement end; the other facility houses those that break these laws.

One facility is a known terrorist target and the other houses criminals that Joe Public does not want breaking out; yet both facilities seem to be the target of the 'powers that be'

Again, as the post above states: THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. And they will be.

From the looks of the seats on the chairs supplied to us in the mold-hole at EOC, apparently the quote above is a common problem .. EWWWWW

cut back on lighting? You gotta be kidding me. 240 Old Country Road is still lit up like a holiday tree every night, through the night. They can't even get that right, where are those dang light switches anyway.
