Many will lose thr jobs at NUMC if it goes under. Not the created exempt and non-competitive (no test for these people) jobs for the big shots who are connected-those of you inside especially know the husband - wife (former waitress with no hospital experience or education) to whom I am referring in particular. It is astonishing how Civil Service allows so many high paid jobs to be created. And is Tom Suozzi unaware that Art Gianelli is seemingly oblivious?
For some real good dope, go to the Nassau County web site. After poking around, I came across financial reports that were just released 8-13-08, an auspicious date. This Country is in deep ... NHCC is losing $10 million a year, the clinics $2 million. Only A Holly Patterson is in the black-about $2 million earned. That leaves a $10 million deficit. Oh, and don't forget that Patterson has just cut Medicaid rembursements. Where does that leave this whole danged County? Near bankruptcy I bet. And tax revenues, motgage filing fees, etc. are down.

Nixon Hargrave always did a lot of outside work for NUMC - I think they still do. County attorney used to handle simple things - now they have 5 attorneys in house and posted a civil service job for another attorney not too long ago - but the thread on civil service fraud was suspiciously deleted by the administrator of this website. Not sure how those other 5 attorneys got hired though - probably just appointed. NUMC also used a huge firm in NYC and had an in-house lawyer in thr purchasing department doing thr contracts work. No lawyers in risk management at last glance. They were using the General Counsel from Long Beach Hospital as thr General Cousel for awhile, but they replaced her with a guy from LIJ-NS - big surprise there huh? Now LIJ-NS is looking to replace his job at thr hospital in Manhasset.

How come Nassau County isn't auditing the NuMC's leaking revenues? What happened with them accepting that Haitian guy they imported from Haiti to heal him? Do you realize that once they accept someone likethat they are on the hook for all his medical expenses? Even when he is ready to leave the hospital for a rehab or a nursing home the Hospital has to pay all his expenses. Many hospitals around the country are paying for thr illegal alien patients that do not qualify for Medicaid because of thr status to be returned to thr country of origin in order to stop the money drain. So we have an adminstrator at NUMC willingly taking on $1million plus in expenses that Nassau County taxpayers will have to absorb for an alien, what is wrong here?
