Tell Karl Rove and the Bush Campaign How You Feel

As part of our continuing campaign to stop the President's amnesty plans, set to be announced in mid- January, today we ask you to contact the President's chief political advisor and his campaign manager.

As we stated last Wednesday, if you like amnesty, mass legal immigration, and the continued unprecedented decline in the American economic standard of living, you'll love President Bush's proposal. While the details of the plan remain unclear, President Bush is expected to propose an outline modeled after legislation currently pending in the House and Senate, H.R. 2899 and S. 1461. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and Representatives James Kolbe (R-AZ) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) introduced these bills. This upcoming plan will undoubtedly reflect what President Bush meant two weeks ago at a press conference when he said he wants to match "any willing worker with any willing employer." If his proposal does resemble the McCain-Kolbe/Flake legislation, he might have added that American workers need not apply.

Here's What You Can Do Now:

Call President Bush's Chief Political Advisor, Karl Rove, in the White House at 202-456-2369. Tell him that Republicans should not abandon thr law and order principles by advancing the open borders policies preferred by Democrats. In your message, feel free to use one or more of the talking points below.

Address an e-mail message to the president's reelection campaign manager, Ken Mehlman, by using the Bush campaign web address.

In ther your phone call and/or email use the talking points below:

Talking Points

Giving illegal aliens legal status does nothing to improve our national security. In fact it would take years and years to do background checks on the estimated 9-11 million illegal aliens who could be eligible for amnesty. An illegal alien who was amnestied in 1986, after all, later masterminded the first attack on the World Trade Center in 1993.

Any guestworker program leading to legal status for illegal aliens is an amnesty and threatens homeland security by encouraging more illegal immigration. Every time an elected official talks about the possibility of granting amnesty to illegal aliens, it says to would-be illegal aliens that they had better get into the United States while the getting is good.

This program would reward people who have cheated the system with permanent residence. This country is based on the rule of law-it should not be manipulated by people who have cheated thr way to the front of the line.

The current recovery from economic recession is unique in post World War II recoveries in that it comes without any benefit for American workers-just more offshore job outsourcing, low paying jobs, and an accompanying decline in the nation's standard of living. This new "American workers need not apply" guestworker/amnesty program may match any willing employer with any willing worker, but for American workers this means bng displaced by cheap forgn labor and a continuing decline in wages and working conditions for those fortunate enough to find or keep a job.

Liberals rejoice! Amnesty may already be a done deal. This is what Tom Ridge had to say recently:

Secretary Ridge Extols Comprehensive Immigration Reform

December 10, 2003

"The bottom line is, as a country we have to come to grips with the presence of 8 to 12 million illegals, afford them some kind of legal status some way, but also as a country decide what our immigration policy is and then enforce it."
Secretary Tom Ridge, Miami, Florida, 12/09/03

In today's edition of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel (Fort Lauderdale), Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge is quoted as saying that comprehensive immigration reform, including a legalization program for undocumented immigrants, is an issue whose time has come. Without providing details of what form of legalization he might support, he is the first senior Bush Administration official to address comprehensive immigration reform in quite some time.

At a town hall meeting in Miami sponsored by the Council for Excellence in Government (www.excelgov.org) and broadcast live on local public radio, Ridge said the United States must "come to grips" with the more than 8 million immigrants living here that lack legal status.

In the two-plus years since the early September 2001 meetings with Mexican President Vicente Fox, the White House has been deafeningly silent on immigration reform, even as congressional proposals pop up. This is the first time a senior official has been quoted in the English-language media as supporting reforms that address the failure of the immigration system. It may be an indication that the White House is considering policies to afford adequate safe and legal channels for immigration and address the lack of legal status for millions of hardworking taxpaying individuals. Reformulating policies in such a manner would enhance border security and permit immigration laws to be meaningfully enforced.

Politically, immigration is a litmus test issue for Latinos—in a poll of Latinos conducted by a GOP polling organization for the conservative-leaning Latino Coalition, more than 85% of Latino respondents favored action to normalize the status of undocumented workers. More than 90% thought it is important to reform immigration laws to create more legal opportunities for immigrant workers. The White House may be beginning to offer clarification to these voters on where President Bush stands on immigrant and immigration issues as the approaching political season hits full stride.

My only question is WHY IS THIS NOT BECOMING A CAMPAIGN ISSUE???? WHY IS PRESIDENT BUSH AFRAID TO BRING THIS ISSUE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE? IS IT BECAUSE HE IS ASHAMED OF WHAT HE IS DOING? SURE AS HELL HE SHOULD BE!

Chris, you got that one right. Why bother having laws anymore. I can only surmise that our laws only apply to some of the people. Others are "above the law". Thr will be anarchy in our country unless our laws start bng enforced for EVERYONE-including the illegal aliens.

And I'll get my gun out of hiding, my getaway driver out of daycare, and my pipebombs out of the baby's crib so I can create a diversion across town while I rob and kill everyone at the next ten banks I pass (right after I steal a car with enough gas in it). I mean, I can just tell the cops you guys said it was OK right?

Laws were meant to be obeyed. Even our immigration laws. Don't forget that those who break our immigration laws are also breaking our tax laws for the most part.
With amnesty for 15 million people or more think what hordes of humanity will come here now. When our tax laws are broken it's the honest legal citizen who pays. Usually through property taxes.:">

It reminds me of the Titanic. Not enough life boats for all the humanity who needed it. The few lifeboats that they had weren't enough for the rest of the population. they could fit only so many people then, they had to paddle away fast. Otherwise all the rest of the people in the water would grab onto the lifeboats, overturning them due to excessive wght. Then, they would ALL sink. America cannot take the wght of the world on it's back. These other countries must start taking care of thr own people.

Bushco has been working continuously since taking office, at eroding the jobs and benefits of American workers. The "Cheap Immigrant Labor" Reform Bill is just another step.

Dubya's 2002 budget cut federal funding for retraining of displaced American workers, in favor of increased funding for forgn worker visas.

The "Medicaid Reform" Bill was an 85 billion dollar give-away of taxpayer dollars to drug companies, and it banned all re-importation of lower cost American made drugs by Medicaid. That way, we as taxpayers, have to pay the highest possible prices to the very same drug companies that just got a huge government handout.

Dubya's Republican cohorts in Congress also adjourned for the year, with out extending unemployment benefits for they very same workers that lost thr jobs since he took office.

All the while, Dubya's criminal corporate buddies are exporting more and more high tech American jobs overseas, and displacing even more American workers. And what does the current administration say about that? Not a damn thing. Morgan Stanley estimates the number of U.S. jobs outsourced to India will double to about 150,000 in the next three years. Analysts predict as many as 2 million U.S. white-collar jobs such as programmers, software engineers and applications designers will shift to low-cost centers by 2014. Offshoring companies "are paying Chinese wages and selling at U.S. prices," said Alan Tonelson, of the U.S. Business and Industrial Council, a trade group for small business. "They're not creating better living standards for America."

While Microsoft, IBM, AT&T Wireless, and Accenture improve thr "bottom lines", Americans workers lose thr jobs. Walt Disney Co., CNN and Fox News don't want public disclosure of thr overseas job shifts. Microsoft Corp. has gone so far as removing its name from minibuses used to ferry engineers on overnight shifts in India.

And what is Dubya's response? The "Immigration Reform Bill", that will make it even easier for American companies right here at home, to hire ever more cheap labor.

TREASON isn't big enough to describe what is going on in Washington DC.

We now have American engineers working in starbucks. America is losing its enginering base..It will be all over the day America becomes completely dependent upon India and China for it's engineering and scientific needs. America will be a conquered nation the day this happens. I have enormous hatred for Peter King. He votes for the destruction of America every chance he gets. King is an evil man.
