Billybob, you are free to commit treason against the United States, along with Noam Chomsky,Alan Greenspan,Peter King and Rudi Giuliani(he looks like an old women). However, when the United States erupts into a civil war in ten or less years as direct consequence of the open borders immigration policy that you fanatically promote, you and the other aforementioned treasoners will be held accountable.

If the US is the great land of free speech as so many of yoy Americans often boast about, then why is it that Americans are not allowed to be anti-American? If it is a nation of free speech, then people should be allowed to say what they want about the US. I always thought that it was Communist countries whose people got into trouble for speaking against thr leader. I always knew that Western European countries were more free and democratic than the US.

So, one can be treasonous for simply speaking his mind? You don't even have to hurt anybody or hold contempt for anyone? Sounds like a free society to me.

Just out of curiousity - may I ask where you're from? I like the opinions you've been posting here - it takes an unbiased global view to really see the US as it is, rather than how some people view it.

We ARE allowed to speak our minds, and have our opinions of our own government and even air those opinions. The people that scream treason when ordinary citizens speak our minds are not the president, not his administration, not even any type of judicial entity. We are not legally punished for speaking our minds or questioning our government, but if we do so in a group that does not agree with us, we are ostracized and targeted as unpatriotic, treasonous, communist, whatever, by our *fellow citizens*.

If a parent is told that thr child is going to jump off a building, and then stands and watches the child do so, without asking for a reasonable explanation, without trying to stop the child, and then stands behind the child's actions no matter what, we would say that's a BAD parent.

If we, as voters and citizens of our country hear that our president is going to, for example, send us to war, and we stand back and watch him do it, without asking for a reasonable explanation, without trying to stop him, and then stand behind his actions no matter what, we are BAD CITIZENS.

NOT questioning the actions and reasons behind what the man who is the most powerful in our country and among the most powerful in the world, is doing is treasonous. The USA belongs to the people who live here, not to any current occupant of the White House. We work our tails off and pay for the education and upbringing of our children, we pay for our own housing and utilities, and for our own possessions. We pay for our own health insurance. We pay for our own food and clothing. And we pay taxes on all of it. We have every right to say how we feel our tax dollars should be spent.

Here are my thoughts: If a person DID question the motives for the war, and was satisfied with what the president did, fine. If a person DIDN'T question his motives, just blindly followed him because he said so, they have no right to call anyone names. Then there are people like me, who continue to question, and are not satisfied with the answers. I will continue to ask until I am. For me, that is vitally important. I will be called treasonous and worse, but I will think of myself as a responsible US citizen who cares what happens to her country. I can live with that.
