Why don't you use your real name rather than three different aliases.
As much as you would like to spin this, you can't do it effectively. Write letters to Newsday and the local papers. Please. They will only laugh at you.
Reassessment is revenue neutral. If the waterfront homes are properly assessed - as they should be - then every other resident of the school district pays a lower tax rate which means lower taxes for everyone who does not live on the water.
If you disagree with this, there will be a Legislative Session on November 26th, where you can stand up and say - I want to be overtaxed so those on the water can recve a discount to which they are not entitled. Please come to the hearing. I'll hold a seat for you.
By the way - I don't believe for a second that you live on the water.

Another great article in Newsday for the dems, Gold still thinks dems on the south shore don't pay enough in taxes. Way to go Mr. Gold.

I thought it was a great article too. I'm glad you liked it Mel aka Bellmore Voter. The reduction in tax rates resulting from Cole Layer Trumble fixing its glaring errors, will benefit thousands. AS Newsday made clear, Cole Layer Trumble really messed up. Its a shame they didn't get it right the first time out, and resisted all efforts to correct itself, because then the people who will see tax increase would have had the opportunity to review thr methodology and thr valuation. That's why we tried to get Cole Layer Trumble to take action back in August.

Well maybe I'm wrong. The waterfront is getting an unfair shake. I was wrong, I know it now. Read my lips: I'm sorry.
