Monday, one officer was ponting his radar gun near Kings Pharmacy & Park Blvd. Guess he didnt make his quota, beacuse today he enlisted the help
of another city employee bng raised in a bucket over Long Beach Blvd.
Both days, numerous officers were waiting on the next block waiting to ticket the hard working middle class.

Doesnt the Long Beach Police Department have a better way to distribute manpower (there had to be at l 8 city employee just for this one operation) - I know, like fighting and shooting on sight gang members.

what gang members

Ther aren't any gang members in long beach or anywhere in Nassau. No there's no gang problem here.

No gangs here

We have no gangs in Nassau County at all. Thats why we pay such exhorbitant sky high taxes here, to keep out all that riff raff.
Thankfully we live in a very safe non violent suburb of NYC otherwise what would you see? For Sale signs on every lawn in every town? People getting the hell out of here while the getting is good?

hello,

can we get back to the issue. Do we really need this many police officers participating in a speed trap? And I just love the bucket truck. And how is it that some get pulled over and some not? I was going with the speed of traffic in the middle lane-- the car in the left lane was going just a tad faster, the car in the right lane about the same as me, and everyone in front of us was going at about the same rate of speed yet I got targeted to be pulled over. I can't wait to show up in court for this one. If you're going to pull cars over, pull them all over. This is a targeted speed trap.

I saw what was going on, but I'm the guy going slow that everyone beeps and gives the finger to. I thought it was a great set up, but then again, I'm not worried about getting pulled over. It's too bad you have to pay that $100 Long Beach toll, but maybe, just maybe, you'll slow down. Take a look at Park Ave near Associated, the speed limit is a school zone, I think it is 20 MPH, cars fly through there in 40-50 MPH range. I hope LBPD keeps doing it. Great job guys.

happy taxpayer

Why dont you try to remember that E Park ave is not meadowbrook or the LIE and mabye just mabye you wont have to worry about getting a ticket. Im tired of people on the roads of LI driving like savages. I have lived in this town for 32 years and never got a ticket, why, because i am aware that the road does not belong to me. Take a look at the LB herald and you will see that our police dept does a fine job of locking up the filth that pollutes my town. Drug, assault, burglary, sex predators and plenty of dwi arrests too boot. Great job LBPD im glad my tax dollars are bng put to work.
