I am delighted that Tim Bishop won. However, a sore point is all the big money it took for him to win. A million dollars from the Democratic National Committee. and huge amounts from the New York Democratic Committee.
Soft money everywhere. How can Democrats be for
"working people" when they have to take huge contributions from the corporate interests?

Grow up and get real. Politics take money, whether you like it or not. The people that work the campaign must be paid, literature and signs must be printed, tv ads must be produced and air time must be bought on tv and radio, areas have to be rented, etc. PLus, dont forget Democrats have to pay people to register as many people to vote as they can, alive or dead, this takes money too.
This illusion that Democrats are all working stiffs like the rest of us is hilarious. They are just as rich as the Republicans are, some alot more, like Daschle and his airline lobby pro wife.
