Anyone else know or hear about P.N. looking to put out bids for a Islip town Fire rescue Helo .?? Heard a few inside people mention it on the sly. From what I heard maybe a used one already equiped . Maybe stationed at the old Gruman site in E.I. .
This could be bs. but like I said a few insiders are talking about it seriously.
So if true what District would be in charge , or a group effort of all districts. Or would the town start a new fire agency to over see its use. ?
How would they pick the Pilot[s]. Volley or Paid. Sounds like a good idea.

Oh Christ!!! Thats all we need, you vollie idiots with a helicopter!! Phil Nolan is a penny pinching scumbag...he would NEVER spend money on a helicopter. Just wishfull thinking by you vollie buffs. Unless Nolan knows a politically connected helo company who would give him a big kick back, this idea is grounded

Agreed, good point . Yet I picked up on some rumors a short while back along the same lines. Thought it was just a joke untill I read this.
BTW
Not all Vollies are idiots. jealous you can't have one ??

its not a rumor. Levy with his wisdom is looking to get rid of aviation since it loses money for the county and is very expensive to maintain 4 pieces of shitt helos. At times all four have been down for service or annuals.

Thanks for the input. Maybe this is true ??. A thing in the Newsday today 5/2/08 there was a mention about a NY state law being probosed to give "TOWNS" not districts the power to create and control Volly Fire Depts.
Maybe screw face PN is in on the ground floor.

Read the law, they already have the power to create fire districts and both regularly argue about who controls them under existing laws. You dweeb.
Leave it to snoozeday to come up with more irrevalent facts out of context.
And the helo thing was a joke, get it? Brings out all you jailhouse lawyers.
Way too easy..

WHile commuting into work or from work; I see FD and Ambulance vehicles from Suffolk and Nassau Counties. Why is this? Why are the taxpayer paying for Lts, Cpts, and Cheifs to drive to and from work into NYC? I have seen Brentwood Ambulance vehicle in Jamaica, Queens, Brentwood FD or Ambulance White Yukon in Brooklyn. Multiple CIFD vehicles in Queens. Also Mastic beach, wading river, Massapequa FD,Belmore merrick ect.. Why should the tax payers be paying approximatly 300-400 a week for these vehicles to be parked at the FDNY and NYPD parking lots for 40-60 hours a week? Why does the FDNy and NYPD allow this to occur and turn the other way? Is this authorized? If so are the people doing it autherizing it? Are the towns aware? If they know why do they allow it to happen? With gas prices near 4.00 I am sure these people do not care what gas prices are they fill it up whereever it is most convient for them. Do these people live in the town they serve? Probably not, bec ause if they paid the taxes the would probably be more conciderate of the money.

If this is just BS, then why the current rumor going around at N and S PD that Nolan [Islip town ] is looking for chopper pilots. And Islip town at Mac AP has or is looking for a hanger bay.
