I am at a loss for what to say
I’m feeling low on this bright day
I looked at myself and oh what a shock
I’m as big and fat as an old ham hock

In my mind’s eye I am trim and fit
beautiful with a nice keen wit
such a lovely sight to behold
In my mind’s eye, I’m good as gold

But mirror, mirror on the wall
I’m not the fairest of them all
I see a person, dumb and fat
do I really look like that?

I ask for a sprite, a spirit, a knave
to sit on the end of my fork and wave
to remind me with a huff and a puff
stop eating NOW you’ve had enough

I’ll have to be patient along the way
I didn’t get this way in a day
this project will take a little time
but I will do it and will not whine
