Lakeland dispatcher, have some curtosity, Bohemia has a working fire on F-1....you should have stayed off!!! Why do depts w/their own freq stay on F-1? Why you ask? So everyone can hear them!! LOOK AT US WE HAVE A CALL!!!!!! IE. West Islip (the worst when good ole dispatcher 11 is on, he doesnt shut up. He "Hollywoods" every call), Lakeland, Bay Shore and more. Lakeland should have went to high band, it's called common sense. Bohemia had a problem w/high band, hence why they went back to F-1 for now.

Babylon Central is good, when there is a 35 on F-1, they have units switch to 46.38

What happened to the courtesy & good dispatchers in this county? But FRES is the worst with stepping on people, they've gotten really bad over the past few years. FRES, heres a clue, if Medford is trying to bang out a call, don't tap Farmingville off the Selden tower for a radio test....

What is happening to the radio is this county?

Anyone else have a top 10 list or good stories?

They only simulcast their base on F1 - However the base steps on everyone because they are just listening to their UHF and dont give a shit to whats going on F1.

If you have UHF stay on it ... we dont need to hear your one sided BS on low band !

This is why FRES is stepping on people. With the new cad you click on the tones to send and it takes anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds for the rest of the county to hear the tones on 46.46. Sometimes it takes as long as 15 seconds, depending on how slow the computers are working on any given day.

This is no BS, I can't tell you how many times I'll send tones and the radio is clear, then 2 seconds later another dispatcher hits their tones and they both go out at once.

Here's a clue for you, we activate Medford for the majority of there calls, then they reactivate themselves. You should listen to 46.46 on any given night between 1800 hours to 1915 hours. Or better yet listen to the Brookhaven Memorial Hospital pre plan activations. Most of the departments that get activated by FRES reactivate themselves.

So that's why shit happens in the county... Most people are begging for a better way.
