So does anyone think Lee Zeldin, running as a republican, stands a chance to beat Bishop? And how about Frank Stalzer going up against Steve Israel?

Frankly, I think both Bishop and Israel are beatable, but I wonder if thr opponents would do better running as independents instead of republicans.

Lee Zeldin is married with two little girls. He served in Iraq and he also is an attorney. He brings honesty and youth to a position that is in need of an overhaul. He's a fiscal conservative and will fight for the average taxpayer and not the special interests. Thats just the opposite of his opponent.
Bishop has a lot of ethical problems concerning his daughter getting hundreds of thousands of dollars as his consultant. He has paid her from his campaign contributors fund. Her business address is also registered at one location but the mail goes to Bishop's Southampton address. Tim Bishop's stance on illegal immigration is also very troubling. He has favored tax money going to fund hiring halls for illegal aliens and thr employers who pay no taxes for labor rendered.

Frank Stalzer is a good family man and businessman. He has almost no name recognition so he better start getting some press if he can. Steve Israel while a strong incumbent has just stayed with certain issues like helping senior citizens and helping the military. Who can argue with that. But on illegal immigration, gay marriages, war on terror he is pretty much closed mouth.
