It is offical: people are only stupid animals who do what is popular. The whole recall was bankrolled by Republicans to try and get around the demoractic process. They knew it would be hard to beat Davis in a few years so they jumped on him after there were problems created by Enron. Cute: have your own rich friends hurt our state and then blame your opponent. This whole race was a political trick that was played on many in California. Some of the recall petitions were misrepresented in colleges, making the signatures invalid. It makes me sad that the recall has resulted in Rebuplicans gaining a victory in such a disgusting way. I hope that other people realize that this is a JOKE. But it isn't funny...now our liberal state is run by a power-mad Nazi lover who abuses women. What happened to America? :">

I guess I'm supposed to be more high-minded than this, but this California recall has been a real hoot, and I'm going to miss it. A lot of scolds complained that this was a political circus, but they fail to acknowledge a crucial point: Circuses are fun!

Bring in the Clowns!!!

In America whenever someone is elected to office they are given power. As such, there MUST be a legal way to remove that person from office prior to the expiration of term. This recall was a republican power grab. However nther democrats or republicans care about the people or the country, they both want the same thing, MORE POWER. In closing, even though the republicans used this opportunity to grab power and install a puppet, it would have never happened if the people were not truly angry.
