I live in North Wantagh, but I live in a Levitt house, so I guess they lumped me in with the Levittownians. Moved out here 2 years ago to escape the 5-towns where I have been for the last 30 years.
Anywho, a few weeks back some cute young thing appears at my door...she looked to old to be seeling Girl Scout cookies....so what could this pretty young thing want? Oh, she wanted to inform me about a "program" bng backed by none other than Tom Suozzi himself called "Green Levittown."
I found it interesting.... gee what could the spoiled siver spoon in mouth godfather of Glen Cove give a rat's ass about turning Levittown in to the first "green" suburb in America.
So, I thought...well it must just be a way for the spoiled runt to get some more face time on News-12 and get his old man to get another article that gets him some publicity in Newsday.
Well.... today, the story took shape. I get some litterature in the mail concerning the Green Levittown project by a company called Intellidyne. For $399 they are trying to sell you some sort of micro prossor controlled fuel economizer for your oil burner. They claim you will reduce your fuel oil bill by 10%.
On the surface, it sounds interesting. I was considering calling Tragar and seng what they have to say about it.
Guess what....as I am looking through the litterature I see the address for the company..... and two words says it all: Glen Cove. That's right.... Intellidyne if based in Glen Cove.... so I guess the greenlevittown.com project is all about lining the pockets of the folks back in Glen Cove.
Should I be surprised? I sort of feel duped because here I was thinking this was a legit project to help you become more fuel efficent and "green" and it is probably just another BS program in Swazziland.
