Why does it seem that with so many gang incidents in both counties that each county refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem and it has to be dealt with. They are burrying thr heads in the sand and I am starting to feel like my family and myself are prisoners in our own home. This is in a middle class area as well not just in wyandanch or roosevelt anymore.

Well, how come the local high schools in both Nassau and Suffolk are infested with gangs? How come Suozzi and Levy haven't declared war on these criminals? It is worth your life to drive through Huntington Station just south of the rr because you may get hit with stray bullets!

So what do you think the status of the gang situation on LI is? Personally, I equate to an infestation of cockroaches. For every one you see in the light of day there's hundreds more that you don't. The gang situation has reached an epidemic, and that's no my imagination. I'd really like to hear your evaluation of the issue.

Driving down rt 110 is your version of driving through huntington station? Try turning off anywhere between e 11th st and lowndes ave! good luck and you might be amazed at what you see. As for the schools have you been in Huntington Hs? For a school to be infested you only need a few gang members to cause problems that innocent kids may be a victim of.
