the hammer is coming down. mark my words. it is just a matter of time before they have to answer for thr actions. I am sure thr personal lives will be brought up as well. the media will feed on it like sharks. I patiently await the day that happens. I will make some popcorn, grab a cold one, pull up a chair and have a great time. Each year one more commissioner will be replaced. in a couple of years, the right people will be in there and then thiings will change for the better. Chairman this year, then 2 more after that. we will make sure the people who want to do the right thing make it in to that office and then let us see how many people even give you the time of day. I am sure you will find friends in that distant company, you know the one i am talking about, it is the one that thinks they are the best, and they are. the best at bull$hitting thr way through this place.. that will come to an end as well soon.

Showing true leadership for once and you are pi$$ed at them. Other times you are upset that they do nothing. They try to give you what you all want and the fact is none of you know what you want and complain constantly. Go figure.
I really didn't think they had the balls to do it, and am quite impressed.
Didn't the guy that failed the test run on a platform that he "was going too follow and enforce the rules on everybody"? Oh now the rule does not suit you? "It was fake and just trying to set him up". Learn the law yourself and put his case in front of a jury, believe me, they would win this one.......

once again the foot is inserted in the mouth. lawyers have been spoken to, the rule that they made was "unreasonable" by definition. the time frame di not even allow for them to recve the results of the test. the way they went about removing him was illegal as well. no formal hearing or charges no notification. do yourself a favor and shut that stupid hole in your face, you havent a clue as to what the law requires. and as for the "balls to do it" that has been the problem, they have always had the balls, the prolem is that they break the law when they want. and we all know what they are. even you cant say they dont.

1. The Board of Fire Commissioners has the absolute authority to determine what qualifications are necessary to hold any chief's ranks position. The requirements can include any certification, like Certified First Responder.

Foil the Board for the full text and then try to push forward. Don't you think they checked first?

At the request of Comm. Rocco, Mr. Murray touched base on the Rules and Regulations of what the District wants as qualification to be a Chief of this Department.

He explained, as we probably know from the history of this Department, that the Department elects a designee to be the Chief of the Department, who is subject to the approval of the Fire District, because this Fire District has chosen, wisely I would say to avail itself to the volunteers in the Community, to utilize a volunteer organization to suppress fires and ride emergency service in the Terrace Fire District. They have the option at anytime to change it, however are not opting to do that. The Chief of the Dept. is a delegate of the District. The District, like the Board of Directors, does not do the day to- day operations, as the Chief is in charge during alarms and has the authority as the person in charge not the District. That having been said, the District does have the right to put restrictions on that, as they can determine what requirements must be met to be a designee or Chief. They have the right not to accept a designee if they feel that person does not meet the qualifications set forth. If the By-Laws disagree with what the district says, the District trumps the By-laws of the dept. The District also can make and change rules and regulations as deemed necessary. Meeting and discussions with Atty. Mark Murray was adjourned at 8:30 whereas our regular meeting was then dispensed

Better question
Would all this $hit be going down if all three that you put in place passed the test instead of just one (or both actually and possibly a third on a retry)? So why bitch now??
