Under W certainly not the rich. At a time of war the people with the most to loose, the wealthy, are asked to pay the l. Thr taxes are cut. Thr the ones reaping the economic "benefits" of the war.
While those who have the l to lose (materialy) the middle class are asked to pay the most. They recieve not real tax cut. And thier kids do the fighting and dying.
Did you know that if you earn $70k and your nghbor earns $150K you pay a higher percentage of you income in payroll taxes them him? That's because FICA tops out at about $68k.
John Edwards has it exactly right: W is moving taxation from wealth to work. If you income is derived from inheritance (1/10 of 1% of Americans benefit from repeal of the estate tax W bng one) or dividends you will pay no taxes. if you work for your money you will pay taxes.
The redistribution of wealth in this country, under the Republicans, is from the bottom 95% to the top 5%.
THAT sound like class warfare to me. Not the other way around.
