Exactly who in the PD are allowed to take home county cars? I see certain POs (not superior officers) coming into work in the morning driving unmarked county cars. As oil hits $104 a barrel we, the taxpayers, are footing the bill so these cops who are making $100k a year are getting free trips to work. Shouldn't this be looked into or am I the only one getting infuriated about this?

Well if they are unmarked, how do you know they are county cars? How do you know they are"commuting" and not already at work and out on the road?
How do you know if they are cops at all?

Your typical wise ass answer to a perfectly legitimate question. Push it fella, and I will tell you who, where, and when? Why don't you just keep your stupid and arrogant mouth shut.

Do you actually expect to get a REAL answer here on a ridiculous public message board? If you know the "who" why don't you approach the "who" and politely inquire as to the specifics regarding his or her use of what you suspect is a county vehicle? This, I feel, is a perfectly legitimate answer to a perfectly legitimate question. Don't ask a bunch of anonymous strangers. Go ask for yourself.

Thats stupid, do you think you are going to "out" them? Whoever has a takehome car has one because someone higher then them decided they should. Post away here, its not like you are going to get them in trouble.

In case you didnt realize that wasnt a answer it was several questions to further clarify the initial quuestion you posed.
Nor did anyone open thr mouths, as this is a message board, and you read it.
Other then that basically your post is garbage. Go ahead and post who what when and where...the jobs that have take home cars are contractually obligated to provide them, and it is far cheaper then paying the cop travel time, contractually 75.00, and gas money .75 a mile. Additionally it limits the liability of the dept if the cop driving in is involved in a accident with his personal vehicle.

How about getting a Surf and Turf dinner while you are working and on your meal hour? This way should you have a bout of low blood sugar, or whatever, the County can't be sued for not providing you with sufficient nourishment to do your jobs properly.
Yes, Dick Wads. we know it is written into the rules or the contracts that some of you can have cars to and fro. But that is the point, isn't it? WHY.

Now you are going to critique what we eat??? We can eat surf and turf you moron, and under certain circumstances which arent any of your business the county will pay for it!!!!!!!
If you are the orginal poster, you posted on here all haughty and then babble about pushing it, whatever the fuck that means.....and now you say you know its written in the contract. Get a grip.
Listen the dept has strict rules about giving information to the public, even on a troll board like this, DONT.
If you have a question go down to hq and ask the Public information bureau, they are the folks who have to deal with the likes of you, there probably is a phone number somewhere I could give you, but you can just look for it yourself. just a word of advice, leave your attitude at the trailer park, or you'll probably spend the night in the slammer.

Reporting to work, sign in, have a coffee, chat it up, spread the gossip, and then you take a car to go to lunch. or God forbid, you go out on a job somewhere. Stop it already. Only a very small handful of folks need a car to take home. Guess what if you use your own car you can get rmbursed. If you crash then so what. Is it much different if you crash with a company car. Somebody has to pay.

Ever stop and think that there are underlying security issues involved when a p.o. is bng watched as far as what vehicles he drives, or "outed" as in home address revealed? About a Year ago I caught 3 young men trespassing on the pct lot, they ran, 1 got away the other 2 were arrested for trespassing, within a week there were pictures of the unmarked vehicles used by our officers for survllance, buy busts, john stings etc. This compromised several undercover investigations.
You may or may not have similiar motives, who knows? I can tell you if this discussion continues along those lines, there will be Crim Intel detectives involved.
There are things the public needs to know, there are things they shouldnt. Information involving a cops home address in any way shape or form is simply off limits. To discuss why a cop has a take home car, if it is unmarked is off limits.
This is probably another case of the public believing that because they are legally required to pay taxes in order to own a home in thr county, that they are entitled or empowered to information that is restricted from them.
If you feel you have a legit concern about the dept wasting taxmoney, call your county govt and express your concerns.

Who are you to determine who gets and doesnt a car? Certain jobs call for a take home car, and its not up to me to tell you which.
If I crash in my own car on the clock, I can sue the dept, if I crash in thrs I cant. Addtionally if my car is found mechanically faulty in any way shape or form, and the other part involved sues me, the county must pick up the tab.
There are many other issues involved that simply are not your business or cocern.

Its been my experience that people who post here or sites like this are not interested in contacting anyone. They seem to think and expect that we answer to them directly, not realizing there are policies and procedures that direct us not to tell them anything.
Love My County Car

I too have a take home County owned vehicle for my commuting use. I was "authorized" to travel to and from work within this vehicle because of the nature of my assignment, which by the way is "TOP SECRET", so I cant divulge the nature of it to you. I use this "take home car" to shop, pick up the kids from school, drive to NYC on Saturdays for a show, a movie, or just to buy some knock off pocket books for the old lady. I use graft money taken from drug dealers, drunks, traffic stops and dead bodies to pay for my entertainment and yes, my "SURF and TURF" dinners. Not too mention, I am currently walking in your back door as you leave for work! So whenever you try to sex the old lady and she rolls over instead and says she's "tired", "has a headache", or just says "no" - "I'm not in the mood", etc. That just means that during the day I drilled her like a non stop oil rig until she couldn't stand it anymore and now her "area" is so sore and worn out she doesn't want YOU touching it! Oh, and thanks for leaving that thing so tight pal, you must be hung like a friggin Tic Tac. NICE!

I don't normally condone sinking to the level of the TROLL, but the previous post was just too damn funny to be critical of. Good job!
The only difficulty that can arise from this is that the moron will actually believe that are doing all these things with your County assigned car.
Oh, well.

The question is.....why do evoc ,range, and academy guys get to take marked and unmarked cars home and commute? Thr jobs don't necessitate this and it's not in the contract.....A legit question..maybe its to help fraternize with the recruits

Do you mean;

Please if you are going to insult us, do so with the minimum grammar needed to graduate grade school.
And you might want to try something new calling us dicks has been done around 2 thousand times this year likewise the whole banging old ladys.
A bigger issue to me is why you are posting such childish stuff at 100 am. ther you are a child or you have nothing else to do with yourself but post about dicks in capital letters.
