Craig Heller got slapped up like a little b*tch in an embarrassing defeat for Water Commissioner, losing despite backing from Democratic stalwarts like Newsday, Tom Suozzi, and David Mejias. Does Heller think that his forays into elected politics will get him a nice contract from Tom Suozzi? Sure can't be Mr. Heller's law firm's $44.00 campaign contribution. So, what's in it for Heller?

I guess republicans don't "get" it. To them, you have to be rewarded for doing something. Heller entered politics to serve the community, not enrich himself. Before he was asked to run in 2005, Heller on his own and because he actually cared, became involved and co-chaired the fight to get more money for Plainedge schools.
Did he want a contract? No.
Did he do it to get a cushy county job? No.
Did he get anthing for running? No.
He does what he does because he cares.
Venditto, Saladino, Labriola, Schmitt and the rest expect to be rewarded. Heller expects to do what is right for the community.
That is the big difference between Heller and the republicans.

Heller ran how many different loser races for the Democrats as a place holder? County Legislator and New York State Assembly. And this recent water commissioner race was at the behest of Suozzi and Mejias. Don't act like we are born yesterday, and that Heller's back isn't bng scratched in some capacity. That is to be expected, and there is nothing wrong with that. It's the self righteousness of a defeated loser which is galling.

Right. I love how these Heller-ites can see no wrong in anything Suozzi does. Suozzi is a "uber-hack" from a family of "uber-hacks" who have brought the city of Glen Cove to the verge of collapse.
The voters in Oyster Bay won't let the Suozzis do to them what they did to Glen Cove.

Have you seen anything self-serving from Heller? Nope.
I know the concept is impossible for republicans to understand but not everyone wants something in return for running.
It's actually amazing that not only are the republicans sore winners knowing deep down that they elect hacks with no marketable skills but they would prefer that those hacks run unopposed.
Mejias was right when he said the republicans like saddam-like elections.
when did mejias say that

Did Mejias say that when he was a Republican or Democrat? A born again christian or crusader for "abortion on demand" and gay rights? When he was a Catholic, a born again, a Spanish Pentacostal, or a secular humanist? You never know which side of Dave Mejias's rear end will speak next.
