Certainly there are some serious problems with Immigration but there needs to be another study done with regards to the economic output many of these immigrants create in our farming and agricultural areas. In the southwest, they do thousands of jobs that Americans refuse to do. Do we not all benefit from this in some way...?

I'm not very familiar with immigration problems but this seems like something that should be looked at in comparison with the stats you provided.

Do people understand how employers hire illegal immigrants in order to pay them less and make more profits? Do people understand that whatever reason those people have for leaving Mexico (and I wish people would be more honest. Are conservatives complaining about Canadians? No), they are basically treated as a slave-like underclass in this country? Do you know they often make less than half of minumum wage?

And besides, with most of America's manufacturing now done overseas, why are people complaining about immigrants taking the scraps that are left? Why wouldn't you go after the corporations that support this? Could it be because it's easier to pick on poor forgners? I guess so, just look at the middle .

According to the U.S. Census Bureau and the Federation for American Immigration Reform, the cost to educate the children of illegal aliens alone is nearly $7.5 billion annually, or roughly the amount of money it would take to provide every student in the country with a computer.

It costs another $3 billion annually to provide medical care to illegals, though many hospitals ? especially those along the border ? can't do it much longer. Southwestern medical centers have lost hundreds of millions of dollars treating illegals while others have closed altogether. Closures, of course, mean American citizens ? for whom these facilities were intended ? are now going without.

When will the insanity stop???
