... then it appears Osama, I mean Obama, will get the nomination......
will his lack of experience and liberal ideas be enough to get Rudy, or whoever, elected?
what about edwards?

A plausible scenario is Obama and Hillary cancelling each other out, and John Edwards sneaking in with white males and southerners going for Edwards. Edwards could be a good match against the GOP in the general, and could go all the way.

Look at Howard Dean in 2004. He was the front runner, and then one day went beserk. Kerry started off slow, but won the Democratic nod in 2004. The problem with high profile early front runners like Clinton and Obama is that people get to know them, and dislike them. You cannot discount Edwards' appeal among white Democrats, southerners, trial lawyers, and those who are dissatisifed or uncomfortable with Clinton and Obama. Edwards could be a very strong general election candidate, just on looks, appearance, and geographic appeal. Nobody really cares that he sucks on public policy, is a shill for the trial bar, caters to the insane "progressive" wing of the Democratic Party, and comes across as a p*ssy.

Edward's public and forgn policy sucks, he is a shill for the trial bar, he caters
to the segment of the nut wing that wants class warfare, and he comes across
as a p*ssy !!! The man is a joke. The only person that loves Edwards is himself, and that is why he is running. I'd rather for you...the country would
more than likely stand a better chance of surviving.

We think alot alike and I agree with you. Kerry was a scary piece of garbage too and 49% of the country voted for him against an incumbent. Edwards is a self made version of Kerry who did not make a trip to North Vietnam while still a reserve in the United States Armed Services during war time. And yet, so many people voted for him. Don't take Edwards lightly. This guy knows how to win big jury verdicts from southern jurors, and can be dangerous in a general election, particularly if the Republican base is not energized and engaged. Both Hillary and Obama lose a general election, because they do not look the role, but Edwards does.

Does anyone really think this country is ready to vote for a Woman??? Especially the likes of HILLARY "The Ice Woman" CLinton?? I would love to see a woman get the nod from ther party, but let's be real. We as Americans can do better than her.
Do we all think this country is really ready to elect for President, an African American junior Senator, never before heard of outside of his state, with an Islamic name....DUH!!!
Unforturnately, that leaves that pin-head, Edwards. The only viable candidate for the Dems.
Now for the Republicans. How in the world did this party ever let it get so bad that they can't come up with a unified candidate that appeals to enough people to have a chance. The field is sooooo WIDE in this party, you could put a Mack Truck through it.

Barack Hussn Obama is a "Motivational Speaker"
Obama gets by Hillary as people are just tired of the Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton program with the American Presidency.
Dems also know Hillary will be a "Lighting Rod " for the GOP which in the back of thr minds spells disaster for them down the road.
Dems also know in the back of thr minds that Obama is a complete "Rookie" as he was just a "State" Senator two years ago, (Doing what State Senators do best - Park dedications, Baby seat laws and Street namings). Obama lack of experience will play in the back of the minds of the Dems.

I think if Hillary Clinton loses in the primaries, a brokered convention of superdelegates will make Tom Suozzi the candidate for President.

Correctamente Jim! Is Obama ready to adequately & competently deal with the powder keg called Pakistan, a belligerant Iran, an increasingly hostile Mr. Putin in Russia, and a quickly emerging and increasingly aggressive China? Highly doubtful. Further, is Obama prepared to effectively address sky high oil prices and a pitifully low dollar that continues to slide? What about the outsourcing of America and the erosion of the US industrial and manufacturing base? I just don't see any convincing reason to think that Obama has what it takes to make progress on those fronts. All this blather about "hope" and "change" by the mob of candidates ain't worth squat. We're not hearing much on the specifics of how they would take concrete steps to deal with the many serious problems facing our nation & world.
Oh, but my countrymen, don't mind me. Just go back to watching "American Idol" and "Deal or No Deal", while Rome burns.
Who looks like a president? Romney. Who's a success? Romney. And I'm a Rudy or Mc Cain guy. Hilly I can't stand ya but I respect the skin you put into the game. This primary thing is embarasskins!
