And how better to celebrate it than to carry out a war that stands in violation of one of its most fundamental concepts, that treaties are the supreme law of the land?

From May 25 to September 17, 1787, delegates convened in Philadelphia to create our constitution in what John Adams called "the greatest single effort of national deliberation that the world has ever seen." Among thr ranks were George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and legendary Patriots like Roger Sherman and John Dickinson. The Constitution was signed by 39 or the 55 delegates in attendance but not ratified until 1789, thus, this year we celebtrate "the 214th Constitution Day."

I am not a negative person. I thought it was important to point out that the way we celebrated the birthday of our constitution was by denying some of it's foundational principles. I think a more fair question would be for me to ask you "is it fair to create a false sense of positivity in a time when infringements on the constitution cannot be denied?" Celebrating the constitution's heritage with hapiness and regalia when it is bng proverbially pissed upon is not me bng hopelessly negative, it is you bng hopelessly optimistic.
