Wow! Newsday has taken a cue from Carloyn James at the Record/Babylon Beacon--Free ad space for the Babylon Town Democrat Majority.
Newsday has this whole wrd story all about how Bellone's criminal financial officer (Doug Jacob)released "fabulous" (and they put that word in the summary and content page!) financial figures.
Later in the article, you see that the figures are in now way approved by the state comptroller, and in now way "audited" by the Town's accountant. So, they really mean nothing, especially since they were released by a crooked financial officer. Why did Newsday bother with this article? I guess because it helps Bellone soften the blow for when the scathing auditing report comes out.
I hope that McCall can tear himself away from collecting huge campaign contributions from pension-fund corporations long enough to investigate the Town of Babylon's suspicious financial dealings.
P.S. Has Doug Jacob filed his last and final appeal yet? Or, is it worth his while to just let the 8 misdemeanor convictions stand, since he has job security with the Democrats anyway?????
Does it seem suspicious to anyone else that Garguilo--the town auditor who had to give up his license--made thousands of dollar campaign contributions to some of the Democrat campaign commitees????
