On election day.. be sure and vote NO to the Brookhaven preservation proposal (proposition #3) AKA Brookhaven property transfer tax!!! This tax will call for a 2% tax on the total sale of ANY home PURCHASED or SOLD in Brookhaven town!!! These costs are IN addition to any and all closing costs and real estate fees.

You are so right .....I'm selling my house in Huntington and looking to purchase in the Brookhaven area on the north shore . With such a buyers market today I will make sure the price of the house comes down another 2% just to defray this tax . Just to show how these homes deprecated even more so .
