fox news is whining like a stuck pig over the 9th circuits temporary stay of the CA recall.

it's the liberals revenge for 2000! they whine...it's the "liberal" 9th circuit they cry.......it's the "lefties" they wimper...........

they leave out that the state and the court had previously decded that the punch cards are invalid. by agreement they were to be replaced by THE NEXT SCHEDULED ELECTION in march.

what the court is saying is that the recall can wait......IT IS NOT CANCELLED......that since we are fighting around the world for democracy we can't knowingly undermine it here at home.....GOOD FOR THEM!

The truth? Watched Billy O to see what he would say. And wouldn't ya know he NEVER even mentioned that there was a case brought and won by those who wanted to get rid of the punch cards. he kept whining about Davis getting elected and now the punch cards aren't good enough! And when One of the guests brought it up he refused to listen.....so much for the truth at Fox

another example: seems your boy Hannity went on a rant about something he NEVER seen. Remember the hullbaloo at the Paul Wellstone funeral? Well, seems Insanity, opps, Hanity went on air the next night blasting away........but guess what? He NEVER even saw the memorial. But attacked anyway. Same is tru for Peggy Noonan who also NEVER saw the memorial.

Hey, I'm a fiscal conservative and a social liberal so I know there are valid points on each side for discussion. What's NOT valid is making stuff up!

One last example: Gore & Love Story:

There was a colum in a TN paper quoting the author as saying that Gore was the role model. The reporter got it wrong. When Gore was asked about it he said, " I read in the tN newspaper that I was the role model..." He was called a liar for that.

But W gets away with just 19 words, etc......

nixon was a fiscal conservative but a social liberal (pretty much...i mean, you have to take into account his psychosis, which would tend to unbalance him politically while it was unbalancing him mentally, but...)

I figure if gopsonsmack didn't hear of it on Rush or Faux News, then it doesn't exist. I've been a fiscally conservative, very socially liberal, law and order democrat my entire life. Yeah, back in the forties and fifties they used to call people like us republicans. But that was in the days of the segregationist anti-union southern democrats. Then the Democrats and the Republicans had this kind of role reversal thing happen after Tail Gunner Joe McCarthy shot himself down, and the civil rights movement began to gain steam. After that it was pretty much over for liberal and moderate republicans. Reagan and Schaffley and Falwell put the final nails in the coffin of the GOP in the ghties. Now the GOP is a mish-mash of anti-abortion zealots, crazy as Bin Laden christian fundamentalists, closet racists, homophobes and big business influence peddlers. Abe Lincoln must be spinning in his grave!
