Please send this email to any and all of your friends and ask them to please do the same and pass this E-mail along. My signs are all over the district and I have purchased newspaper ads in all of the local papers for this final week before the election, but by using E-mail we can reach more people quicker and cheaper than any other method. I need your support and the support of anyone we can reach with the Internet.
I am running for the Suffolk County Legislature representing the 15th District. My District includes all of Amityville, Copiague, North Amityville, Wyandanch, Wheatley Hghts and Farmingdale. It also includes parts of North Lindenhurst, West Babylon and North Babylon.
Who am I?
I am a 24 year resident of this District and I live here with my Wife, Elizabeth and my three children. I am the Football and Cheerleading Commissioner at the Copiague Youth League and have been volunteering my time there for the last nineteen (19) years. I also started the Lacrosse program there and in addition serve as general counsel for the League. The Copiague Youth League is a not for profit 501(c) 3 corporation that provides Football, Cheerleading, Lacrosse, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer and Softball for the children of the community. I am a local attorney with my office on Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst. I am also a 24 year member of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help's parish. I am not a politician and please don't call me one. I believe I have done the right thing for the children of this community for the past 20 years and now I'd like to help fix what's wrong with the District. "FOR THE PEOPLE" is an Independent Third Party which we have grown from scratch because the major parties refuse to speak with us. We are on the ballot at the very bottom of the page, ROW I. Don't be fooled by our position on the ballot, we have already defeated both the Democrats and Republicans at the nominating petition stage. We submitted 1365 signatures while the Democrats submitted only 1100 and the Republicans submitted only 700 signatures. Continue to support us and we will upset the dominate parties and truly represent the people.
Why am I running?
I believe we need a competent and serious representative in the Suffolk County Legislature. We need someone who will be out in the community supporting all the residents and thr needs. We need someone to fight for our District's fair share of aid from the county. We have many needs in this district and they are not bng met at the current time by our absentee Legislator. We have a large and diverse district and our current Legislator is ill equipped to handle such a task. Our current Legislator's last minute ads and campaign flyers can't hide the fact that we have not seen him for three years. You can't fix in three weeks what you have neglected for three years.
I know, first hand and by name, most of the children in this community. Many of my children can now vote and in fact have carried my petitions. I need to help provide job opportunities for my young adults and places to play and grow for my young children. I want to reach out to our senior citizens and inform them of the opportunities already existing in the community and include them at my community centers. My plan for community recreation centers will include programs for all of our residents regardless of age. We need activities, places to congregate and social functions for all residents. Some of our current facilities need to make themselves more available to all and less bureaucratic in thr approach to admission. We can't stop programs because you fear my children. We need to work with my children and thereby insure a better future for the whole community. The children are our future and I will work to ensure a positive and productive tomorrow.
The District in particular and Long Island in general needs Economic Development. I am currently a volunteer Board Member of the Suffolk County Wi-Fi Broadband LDC. We are actively engaged in installing a wireless broadband network throughout both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. This Network will invest $150 Million dollars into the area and when completed provide wireless broadband throughout both counties. This broadband network will attract high tech companies bringing with them new high paying jobs which will spur the economic development I believe we need to support the programs I propose and at the same time control taxes.
Where will you find me?
On Election Day, November 6th, at your local polling station, you will find me in Column 7 and on ROW "I" under the party name "FOR THE PEOPLE." We will be all the way on the bottom of the ballot.
Last but not l, look for Row "I" and pull the lever for ED WHITE. Together we can build a better tomorrow and it all begins on November 6th but I need your help.
