I think it's kind of Arnie to not steal the spotlight from the other candidates. Don't you? Surely Arnie would get all the media during and after the debates.

You know how short of an attention span(peanut brains) the media has. I suppose FOX would give a fair and balanced version of the debate though, but I'd bet the rest would just talk about "Arnie this, Arnie that".

My question is: What if Arnie wins? What will the libbys who say Arnie will loose, and also say Dean will win think of thr opinions.

I think most Republicans are not putting much faith in Arnie to win or even if he does, so the reverse does not apply.

I think Arnold's refusal to debate really illustrates what the purpose of his candidacy is. Has he given ANY plans for the state? No, he's only given us slogans and ideologies "I support this. I oppose that"

Now, there are well-documented meetings between Arnold and Karl Rove, the white house's chief strategist. In my opinion, Arnold only exists as a candidate because in this mess of a recall (which is entirely the will of the Republican party), Arnold will get the most media attention, no matter what he says. And it works too; people are so cynical and uninformed about politics that they'll say half-jokingly "These guys suck. Let's just vote for Arnold."

With this kind of attention, Arnold's political ideas can only HURT him. Not only that, but he's WAYYY under-qualified to be in such an important position. Does anyone honestly think that he has the know-how to balance the budget? I certainly don't.

So basically I believe he's only only the ballot because the GOP thinks he can WIN. And with a Republican as governor of a traditionally VERY democratic state, the White House will be able to push it's will on California. Things like drilling for oil in San Diego, and basically all the famous right-wing causes.

It just seems like a power-play to me. And when you think of the corrupt 200 presidential election, the corrupt congressional elections last year (nobody really covered it, but the new computerized voting machines suspiciously allowed MANY Republican candidates across the country to win by exactly the same number of votes. Those numbers were later "adjusted", but since there's no paper-trail, they might as well have made the numbers up.), AND the Texas redistricting attempt, you might really get the impression that there's some kind of low-level, not-QUITE-violent coup going on.

I really think these are valid conclusions to draw. Perhaps some of you disagree?

that Arnold got in the way of a real Republican. He's messing things up. The libby dem Party in CA doesn't like McClintock cuz he's too conservative for them. Yep, it's a shame.

Maybe Arnolds popularity will go down for one reason or aother and McClintock will still win.

...before or after you saw a poll that says Mulder is a real FBI agent?

I'll be you couldn't find more than 1 percent of Americans outside CA who even knows who this idiot and loser McClintock is. And IN CA, you might get 10 percent.

McClintock is climbing in the polls, 16% and Arnold is stagnant at 25%. Sure 9% is still a big difference, but the momentum is with McClintock.

If enough of us go to his website and contribute to his campaign, he has an even better chance.

Hang in there McClintock. If you run a dem against a dem, a dem will win and ARnold is a dem.

"What will tomorrow bring?"

Funny you should ask.

Here's what Roger Hedgecock said today:

"[this smacks of] coup, cronyism and crass political maneuvering...his is the stuff of a banana republic."

And he would be exactly right...if he were talking about the yet another attempt of Republicans to steal what they can't earn at the ballot box. The recall of a duly elected governor is all that, and more.
