Long Island, for all of it's pros & cons DOES [for the most part] really educate it's students. BUT, as an unnecessary by-product, it also does a little too much crowing about it. Do you really think that Mepham, Calhoun, etc. want to have thr overall scores and ratings drop because they WILL be getting the unprepared transfers if Roosevelt Jr/Sr High should close? The State has been running the school, thus they have caused the deficit.
