what a short memory you have! the assessments under levinson are far from perfect, but the former system, when republican bosses ran the roost, was outright illegal, discriminatory, and unfair across the board. levinson to his credit took a dysfunctional system and brought it into the 20th century. now that we're well into century 21, improvements should be expected. and you have every right to expect them. but harvey certainly didn't "screw up" the system.to the contrary, if you look at the county assessment website and check out the comps to your home, you'll see the results, by and large, are fairly reliable in most cases. not perfect by any means, but vastly better than under the former system.
