Why is the Brookhaven GOP telling the Mastic/Shirely and Mastic Beach Republican Clubs that they have to merge? Aren't these separate private clubs? Where does Gene Gerrard get off telling these private entites that they have to combine?

The Tri-hamlet area and the south shore have always been predominately republican. Those clubs have always been used for the ego's of underachievers. Now there's some real opposition in the area and the GOP is scared. Chairman Gerrard hasn't seen this much division since the Civil War.

Easy way to decide who the new president will be. Tie Carmine Notaro and John Geraci together by one wrist. Give em each a knife. Last man standing is president.

The Dems are recruiting and mobilizing in the 4th cd. Tullo is history and the reps can merge all they want but it's over baby.

Chairman Gerrard did not order these clubs to merge. Don't know where that info came from but it is absolutely incorrect.. This club merger was a long time coming. The membership has been down and the old fighting and factions that divided the community and clubs in the past is .....in the past! Long live the new William Floyd Republican Club.
