I was told today that legislator Lynne Nowick is the up and coming power in the Suff legis. She is said to be tuned in to all the high level people who count and is a favorite of Crecca's. Given that she comes from Smithtown/St James, she has powerful backers and is said to be interested in replacing Pat Acampora. This seems to have appeared out of the blue and someone may be just floating a trial baloon, but she is a pretty sharp chick. Has anyone heard anything on this?

didn't Legislator Nowick ban some kind of balloons?!?!? seriously, there was legislation like that. I think that's a silly rumor without alot of facts - none of it makes any sense. For one thing, as good a Legislator as she's been - I don't see the political powerbase for a leadership position. For another thing, the boys in the back room are NEVER going to let a republican woman be PO - ask Angie Carpenter.
Very puzzled

Replacing Pat Acampora as what? Lynn lives in the 7th Assembly district. Pat lives in the first. What do mean replace her? Unless now that she is divorced she moves, but can't be 13th LD anymore, what could yoe possibly mean? She has no leadership quality to be a County Leader so you really must be mistaken
