Does she have a shot?

i will vote for murray as she seems to have performed for the town. the last few years of those commercials convinces you that she is on the job.

But if Murray is running

A self-opportunist extraordinaire if you ever saw one.
She even oushines Dennis Dum-Dum

When was the last time she walked around Levittown
to see all the for sale signs or actually talked to the middle class and seniors.

She couldn't give a rat's ass about the average person.

She's too busy printing flyers for the Pet Adoption program.

Maybe she could go to Camp Anchor and lose a few pounds exercising.

Murray only gets the job if someone steps down and hands it to her...that's the Mondello Job Security Program that got Kate her current job.

But she's spending the town's money like it's her own and for her own aggrandizement, so maybe she'd make an attractive candidate for the NC Republicans, who (like the national Republicans) like to spend spend spend on propping up themselves and thr loved ones while not worrying about the real financial situation.

Kate even spent town money to repaint all of the "championship" signs at schools all over so that her name appears, instead of the person who held the job when the championship was won. Self-important, fiscally irresponsible, and owing her job to patronage....sounds like THE Republican candidate to me!

Now we have idiots accepting the idea that the _ELECTED_ positions should be considered "PATRONAGE" - that means that voters don't count, and that all that matters is who Ol' Joe wants in the position.

Great. You have left do doubt as to which party you belong to.

Dude get a grip

You don't run for election for anything unless the party nominates you because otherwise you don't have the funding or the backing to get enough names on your petitions to even get on the ballot to get elected. Dude really dude.

My post wasn't about selecting candidates for the ballot - it was the fact that it's Nassau Republican practice to have an incumbent who's retiring or seeking higher office resign a while before the election, have someone appointed to fill in the position, and then have that person run as an "incumbent." As we all know, over 90% of incumbents in government are "re-elected."

That's how Kate Murray got her current job.

The other poster was saying that he had no problem with this.

OK, DUDE?

Kate is hot - I want to make out with her

Her sister is hot too; I would hit that

Yeah baby!

I can see why you would be enamored with her "unique" physique, but too bad for you, Kate doesn't like boys . . . she prefers her own pursuasion. Perhaps the bad haircut could have been a clue . . maybe she got it from the same barberette who gave Rosie O'Donnell that God awful do which could have turned milk sour.

Generally true but there are exceptions. The Democrat bosses of Nassau did not nominate Suozzi -- they nominated Diapolli. Voters vetoed that. Would Kate Muarry be able to do that? Probably not. A Kate Muarry candidacy would esure a second term for Mr. Suozzi. Go with Balbonni or Peterson. At l they can actually win.

Peterson couldn't get elected County Exec if his life depended upon it. He would be laughed at, rather than elected. You'd have a better shot at getting a tree elected.

Murphy - I'm not sure the county is ready for a woman frankly, sexist as that is.

I like charles wang better than Balboni though.

Nice guy. Good businessman. Shrewd politician. And he can match the Suozzi family fortune buck by buck.Plus look at what he's got at stake - he already owns 1/2 the north shore himself!

Kate Muarry just wouldn't be a good candidate and couldn't get the job done in 05. That's the bottom line on her. Balbonni would certainly be more competitive -- by light years -- compared to Muarry. Balbonni would have my vote. If the GOP can get him to run, we'll have a strong race.

Lets face it. The Republicans don't have anyone to run for County Executive, period. So there's only one way to win. Adopt the slogan, "Vote row A, Because Suozzi is worse."

She is a lay minister in of all things, the Catholic church.
Those folks are not manhattan liberals. It matters to them a great deal from which side you're pitching

So can't we get a guy for her!!
C'mon Mondello. You used to be an usher at the same parish. Everybody used to see you make time with your female "asssociates" during mass. You well know what is tolerated.

Thanks for leaving Levittown. Just like Margiotta"s Uniondale, we are watching the demographic shift. Barf
