No names so far for Clerk.
As for Comptroller, most likely a man by the name Jordan Wilson, who is an african-american male, will get the nod, bng that he met with Laufer yesterday and Schaffer soon, if not already.

1CD, will be decided at the nominating convention on May 20th at Villa Lombardi's.

The race between the Dem and Grucci is going to be a great one to watch, nationwide.

If Pataki wins Suffolk by more than 15 pts, I do not think it will be a good year for Suffolk Dems except Israel-who is winning BIG.

Pataki's going to have to depend on his upstate buddies to help him out in this years election.

Unless of course, he can pull something out here on the Island.

Golisano's TV commercials aren't helping Pataki that much as well.

Personally I think he will do pretty well on Long Island. The place he has to worry about is in fact upstate where the economy has gone into the tank. Basically he may have to win Long Island big in order to offset the City vote because upstate won't be as lopsided as usual and may in fact break even. In this case he could be in big trouble
