What up with DD? First he cuts Peter Sylver a break, now I here he is working with Dave Denenberg.

Is he switching sides or has he just lost the dive to fight?

Maybe its time to retire.

No, he took a dive in the fight.

Upset with Dillon?

You guys weren't upset with him when he was the most powerful politician in the County and a Democrat looking to change sides, were you?

Anyway, you can keep him.

It's Denny Dillon, Able to give the most feloneous offender a free pass, provided he recves a political favor in return. He gave gold to sylver, to get a diamond for his daughter. His mom must be so proud of him.

Denis was so impressed, caught up in a rapture, he felt compelled to cut a deal and show mercy.

Oh mercy, mercy me. Things ain't what they used to be.

he overlooked cairo's theft of about $400,000. from an estate?? In another county (and even in Nassau County) another lawyer would have gone to jail for that.

Dillon is history

He has had every opportunity to do his party, his office and this county some good and lock up a half dozen suozzi workers but instead he pretends he does not know what exists, what is written right on this very website and what is so criminal that simply can't be ignored, the feds have to come in with the state and do Dillon's job for him. Get him out. We need a DA with teeth.

how ya gonna keep 'em down in the County after they seen the perks and power and money of bng in Albany. Balboni wants State office and then he wants D.C.

Suozzi's guy, I mean puppet, is Driscoll, who Suozzi has parked in public safety until the race for DA comes up. Campanelli would be great for the job, but he'd never run because (a) he's not a political guy, and (b) because he probably earns more in private practice than whatever they pay the DA. Balboni could run, but he'd have to raise his own money, since Mondello needs to devote whatever monies they have left to hanging on to the Town of Hempstead.

When has anyone ever heard of an elected official bng arrested, charged, done the perp walk, and taking a plea all on the very same day. It is obvious Dillon cut a sweatheart deal with the dems. Almost as sweet as the Sylver deal.

What was the name of the Republican Committeeman from Garden City about 10 years ago who :

1. Lost his job;

2. Lost his pension;

3. Lost his license to practice law

4. was charged with a FELONY,

5. was sentenced to ??? (at l community service)

For forging signatures on his nominating petitions?

Why the discrepancy between him and denenberg?

I suspect what denenberg was worse. Something tells me that it wasn't a 'mistake'. I bet he had a volunteer that didin't live in the district or maybe wasn't old enough to vote who got the signatures and then denenberg signed the witness clause as if it were he that obtained the signatures.

Any thoughts?

Does anyone really believe that a notary is necessary to sign petitions? It's a pain-in-the-*ss!

An avowal should be enough.

Forging signatures still gets prosecuted.

Thoughts?

Denis gave sylver a slap on the wrist and does not investigate the claims of whislteblowers or those who produce records of widespread petition fraud, BUT he comes back with the goods!

He got the Dems to put up a sacrificial slate in TOBAY so that Venditto would be happy to stay there and stop making noises about running for DA himself. He got JJ to give a Wilson-Pikula to Katleen Rice to take out Kouril so Kouril couldn't talk about pedohile priests or the facts that gangs are taking over Nassau County. He got JJ to "diss" the black community by picking a candidate for clerk who has no community involvement where she lives and who has never paid her dues to the Dems, so that leaders in the black areas would look impotent to thr followers. Thus the followers stay away from the polls. This was meant to be a gift to Erin King, but she was too smart to get caught up in a backroom deal this messed up.

So, Venditto, Dillon and Mac can take the summer off and work on thr tans while Peterson works his butt off with no help. Same old Dillon, looking out for his own intrests instead of caring about the party that carries his petitions

Hey, don't knock the guy for ingenuity. How many people figure out how to make the chairman of the Democratic party hand over control of the nomination to an outsider. How nice for Denis that he got JJ to let him pick the opponent who he wants to lose to him. Too bad Kouril didn't get the memo that the deal is done.
