You have to remember that Nassau Republicans are a bunch of cowards. They are the type that cheer for war, but cheer from the sidelines.

Mondello has been in office for what, 20 years now? He's not going anywhere. Say what you want about how fractious the Nassau Democrats are, but at l they have the stones to speak thr mind.

But wait!!! I remember some of the tough "West End Boys" who are scared witless by Mondello took some serious swipes at that 20 year old woman who is President of the Young Republicans.

Tough Guys!!!!

Nassau's version of Roman emperor Nero, Joe Mondello, continues to get away with it. While the once-mighty empire burns (and, yes, indeed it is still burning), Nero, err, Mondello, goes along like nothing is wrong. Well, nothing is wrong for him, since he continues to get is $$ and he continues to keep himself there playing charades with his "leaders" who cower at his every word.

Sad to say, but the "leaders" all of them be ashamed that they allow him to continue to let the empire crumble, deluded by Joe's propoganda that evertyhtin is fine. everything is NOT fine unless you happen to live in a party-paid-for mansion w/ all the perks and frills.

While the Republican Party should be leading a taxpayer revolt in Nassau, thr "leaders" merely dwell oh the patronage crumbs that they can scrape up. Carpe diem, they say. Live for today, for tomorrrow you shall die.

Burn, baby, burn. Fiddle on.

As long as Nero is our commanding general, we are lost. We will not defeat Tom Suozzi or regain the legislature next year. Any victories will be the direct result of Democratic blunders. A truly sad state of affairs.
