While reading this Sunday’s NY Times LI section blurb on Nassau County employee/retiree health insurance costs, I’m confused by the Comptroller’s estimates regarding the inclusion of retirees. I understood every retiree converts to mandatory Medicare beginning at age 62. Why are those costs included? If they are Medicare, why are they County costs?

Wtzman has no power....he did his audits and got NOWHERE. All the county workers who get hired for one job...then ass kiss thr way to special perk assignments get to keep thr jobs. There are AMTs and SUPVs doing ambulance billing instead of responding to calls for amb's. They get paid the higher salary...do the easy work. NO NIGHTS, WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS!
