Huntington Health Bennies

Board members in Hunt. are not entitled to health bennies. Some resident employees work 30 years full time don't get the bennie. Some out of towners work 5 years and get it and taxpayers of Hunt foot the bill. One planning board member resigned recently and was given life-long health ins. Why did he give up the seat and why did he get the health bennies? Was the seat sold? Is a deal on the horizon, possibly at Media Villa, that needs a cooked vote? DA should take a peek at this one.

Joe - Good guess! The guy 's been voting to screw up Huntington for 20 years. Hope he disappears with med bennies and good riddance. Also hope judgeland ain't on the horizon as part of the deal.

Good question Joe. Health Bennies for Boards stopped about 10 years ago as a cost cut. Zoning, Planning and other members of boards get paid 10K for pt work. Chairs get 15K. They deserve the money and health bennies for the time and work. My question is why does just one guy get health bennies for life and only becasue he resigns his seat? It smells like a deal was made for the seat. Typical of the guy in question to give up a Rep seat in exchange for personal gain.
