View Full Version : Blame Mondello
Did you know that Mondello never asked the Indy Party for the line for GOP Glen Cove Candidates, Indy line recved more than 250 vote and Jed lost by less than that. Did you know in the Mejas/Carman race the GOP Leaders got signatures for the Indy line in the wrong areas, Mondello's office never checked, carman lost the line. Did you know that in the O'Shea race if O'Shea had the Indy Line he wold have won. Just think if Mondello didn't screw up, the GOP would have won Glen Cove, Carman seat, County Leg. and O'Shea.........
Blame Mondello for GOP lose. Thanks Joe.

Should anyone be surprised when revelations such as yours come to light? The disaster continues. Based on what I've read about Zapson (Here on ), that race was a complete gift to the GOP. The legislature should be Republican today but no, our leadership has cost us once again. Former Red Sox Manager Grady Little is still looking for a job. Maybe we need to hire him as our leader. Can he do any worse?????

We need a change at the top, time to bring in DeGrace as the new Chairman. He won the Ciotti seat that they should have lost.

DeGrace??? Yeah, he's much different than what we currently have. This is what I mean. Trade one loser for another. We need a fresh, new face who is not tainted by Fat Joey's regime. Politics as usual with DeGrace, the disgrace.

Despite the protests of some, John DeGrace would be a breath of fresh air for the Nassau GOP. He is well respected by members of every club in Nassau. He gets things done. Ciotti Fan is right, that race could have been easily lost. DeGrace gets down in the trenches which is why he would be perfect leader.
At any event, can we take the status quo?

Yes Degrace is great and so are the rest of the west end leaders, it is called team effort. They are the only real foot soldiers of the party that is left. But there is only one general over in the west end and he's the guy that put together the plan on how to re-elect a republican in a democratic district and even suozzi knew that would happen.

Before the Nassau GOP gets a new leader, we need to get rid of the big failure. How can he not be a man and resign after year after year of his failures?
Joe Mondello, you are a failure, you have single handedly brought down the Nassau Republican Party - resign already!
And if he doesn't, you so-called leaders, LEAD, ACT, PUSH him out!!

Joe Mondello, GOPer is right, resign already! Every year more republicans lose because of your leadership, or lack thereof.
Not taking control of the county legislature is the last straw! The Long Beach Dems gave you a gift seat and you coulnd't even retain all of the Republican seats!!
Resign so republicans have a chance.

I agree... Mondello needs to go. Look at North Hempstead, there a was GOOD shot at getting back the Town Supervisor seat and at l someof the town councils seats.... but he gave NO SUPPORT to the Town party! It is truly a disgrace! So sad! Who can get him out of that seat on Post Avenue? QUICK!!!

No amount of help would have saved the NH GOP. They lost the races on thr own. They blew the supervisor's race and council districts 1 and 6.
Where was the help from Nicollelo, Balboni, M. O'Connell and D. Ferrara? Thr popularity and name recognition would have helped. So much for teamwork.
With this level of "competition", North Hempstead Town will be Democrat forever.

North Shore, with all due respect, with that attitude, we'll never have a shot in NH.
Our Town taxes are CRAZY ridiculous! It is a shame!

The Nassau GOP has been running candidates for school board, fire district, dog catcher, civic association since the creation of Nassau County.
There was even a report in the old LI Voice that a certain Little League gave the Nassau Committee donations in contravention of funding laws.
The GOP's hands are EVERYWHERE!
Anyone who thinks that this is new is naive in the extreme. It just shows up on the radar screen now.
Thank G-d for competition in government.

The National GOP is poised for its largest victory since Reagan in 1984. When We win in November watch the Chairman take the credit. He, and his lieutenants-in- waiting, have to leave the scene if we ever to become a viable party again.

How can the Nassau GOP committeemen and women elect a new leader? Just go to a "annual convention" and watch the scripted nonsence that goes on. We have no vote, only the "leaders" get to vote, and they vote the way they are told to by Chairman Maodello. I stopped going years ago, and will not go untill we get a secret ballot. Fat chance, right fat man.

Joe Must Go - the problem is that the last time a coup was attempted, big Joe had the upstarts heads delivered to himself for a snack, and held a venomous grudge longer than a computer printout of Nassau County's debts. Given that history, the present "leaders" don't have the guts to challange him for fear of a repeat of the past.

As long as big Joe is in command, noone will stand up for what's right, they will only sheepishly heed his command. That's exactly why the County is where it is today. PS, since he doesn't consider the YR's as possessing serious fund raising ability, Big Joe couldn't car less what any of you think.

I'm less surprised than maybe I should be that Nassau Republicans are truly some of the most cowardly people on the face of the Earth.
Sure, you get up in front of the TV during wartime and cheer the troops shipping out to war, but how may of you have ever served? I can tell you that among your elected officials, there is 1. Dunnis Dunne is the only member of the Nassau GOP that has ever served in uniform.
You guys are also very good at saying disparaging things about the bravery of Democrats, but you can't even stand up to Joe Mondello. Sure, you all bitch and complain - anonomously - on this board, but why not say something publically?
Well, go back to your beer and football game to maintain that illusory sense of masculinity.
But before that, maybe you can try this - Rip down opponent signs in the dark of night, attack a 22 year old female law student for working hard in your party, ignore the very basic tenents of sound fiscal judgement and kiss Joe Mondello's ass when you see him and bad mouth him when he is safely out of earshot.
Oh wait, you've already done all that tough guys.
