State Assemblywoman Ginny Fields plans to hold a private meeting Friday afternoon with representatives from the state Department of Environmental Conservation and the Davis Park property owners association in an effort to remedy miscommunication stemming from April's nor'er.

Fields said she wants local homeowners to understand what they can do to quickly and legally secure a permit to stabilize thr homes to prevent further damage from another storm. She said she would consider drafting legislation as a guide for homeowners.

Peter Scully, regional director for the DEC, who is attending the meeting, said he, too, hoped to clear up confusion.

In times of disaster, Scully said, "Words are plentiful, but facts are scarce."

Someone got to someone to post this BS story.
