Racism is still a part of both Republicans and Democrats, although it tends to come up more on the Republican side of politics.
The davis comment is easily debatable as to weather it is Racism or just plain Attitude?
There is no proof, it is speculation.

Quote: It has been revealed that not only is the Lt. Governor a Mexican supremacist, however the current governor shares the same qualities as well.

Can you prove Bustamante is a Mexican supremacist?
How about Davis sharing the same qualities?
Where did you hear this?
FOX NEWS?

25 years ago, Bustamante was part of a student organization Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztl?n (MEChA).
Bill O'Rlly used his "No Spin Zone" to do a spin on MEChA that was straight out of the far right's playbook. According to O'Rlly, MEChA was a racist and violent organization that hated the United States and advocated the ceding of the Southwest back to Mexico.

When student activists created the MEChA organization in April of 1969 at a conference at the University of California, Santa Barbara, it was in the context of educational reform. Numerous Chicano student organizations had already appeared as part of an emerging political consciousness among Mexican youth in the United States. Issues of access to higher education, racism, sexism, economic injustice, Cesar Chavez and the farm workers's struggle, and the war in South Asia contributed to the increase in activism.

Educational reformers decided that MEChA could serve to consolidate the diverse student groups under one banner. Today, former mechistas include elected officials, teachers, attorneys, doctors, publishers of business magazines, and heads of corporations. Far from bng exclusionary and racist, MEChA chapters have been at the forefront of establishing coalitions with other ethnic groups (including white folks) on college and high school campuses across the country.

Now, I'm sure that within this group of MEChA there are some racist and violent members.

Does that mean that Bustamante is a Mexican supremacist?

Does it mean that all Republicans are Racist when Senator Trent Lott issued a statement regarding his racist commendation of Strom Thurmond's segregationist politics?

You need to do a little more research into the issues before you go and spew your ridiculous charges in an attempt to undermine Bustamante and influence a democratic election with distortion and innuendo.

QUOTE: "Davis bowed to growing pressure and apologized for poking fun at enegger's Austrian accent. Davis triggered the flap at a union picnic Saturday when he said someone who couldn't pronounce "California" shouldn't be governor".

It has been revealed that not only is the Lt. Governor a Mexican supremacist, however the current governor shares the same qualities as well. Not a peep in the media however. Hmmm...I wonder why???

What in the lords name are you smoking???

Does that mean that Bustamante is a Mexican supremacist?"

Thats like saying Dave is a member of the KKK. But even though some may be racists in this organization, does that mean that Dave is??? Well, maybe he joined the organization simply for the social aspect!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

MECHA's motto is " For the race, everything. For those outside, nothing". ENOUGH SAID. Its also labeled a hate group by the liberal SPLC. Lets see you try to twist this from your racist viewpoint.

Oh and by the way, I left out Art Torres, Chariman of California Democratic Party. Heres a doozy out of his mouth:

"[Proposition] 187 was the last gasp of white America in California."

Oh but wait, he must have been mistaken. Why dont you tell me what he really meant by that quote, wookibender? This ought to be good!

I don't believe that with regards to MECHA.
MECHA is a student organization with no formal central body, it has no national office, it has no budget, and it has no constitution. Each school is free to choose how they want to run the organization from what I have read and understand about it.
Sure many of the MEChA groups have some of it's mission to retaking stollen land from Mexico. But a large part of this group is just students that are interested in voter registration, cultural identity and preservation and advocacy of education for the advancement of thr culture.

Bustamante's activities in this group occured long ago from what I know about him (25 years or so ago). All I am saying is just because he was a part of this group back in his college days does not mean he is a Racist.
And Furthermore, you did not show any proof of him bng Racist except to say he was a part of this (student run) group at one time.

Quote:Lets see you try to twist this from your racist viewpoint.
So now I'm Racist?
That's exactly my point I am trying to make. Calling someone a Racist when you know nothing about them, nor have any concrete proof of such claim. You're jumping on a FOX news bandwagon to chastize this guy that I think you really know nothing about.

I'm not going to defend the last quote you posted because I did not originally post here to defend individual people. Both Democrats and Republicans make Racist remarks.

arnold can't have it both ways...love it when leno/letterman do it and not when davis does it.

any WHY do dems always have to apolgise and conservative don't?

latest example.....coulter noting that davis was on gores shortlist and that both served in vietnam. he quip was to the effect that "there's a good excuse for friendly fire".

that's the 2nd time she's made comments about "liberals" who should be killed.

but you guys love her and she's on damn near every talking head show there is.....why the double standard?
