BRING BACK MARGIOTTA !!!! THE REPUBLICANS WERE MORE UNITED WHEN MARGIOTTA WAS IN CHARGE. WE DIDN'T HAVE PEOPLE LIKE JOE MONDELLO TRYING TO CONTROL EVERYTHING IN THE TOWN AND COUNTY.
not only were the republicans more united, margiotta was smarter and fairer to all in the party. brains and integrity are now missing

Sucking candidate campaigns of the resources necessary to mount an effective campaign and channeling the money toward a centralized campaign operation that doesn't mention a single candidate by name and possesses very high fixed ovehead costs is the most assinine thing anyone involved in politics has ever heard of.
Then again, it was Joe Mondello's idea, so one isn't too surprised after all.
Some good person ought to grab Dennis Dillon by the hairs on the back of his head and make his office take a good look at this pile of dogsheet!

DILLON is part of the PROBLEM.
DILLON is in BED WITH THESE CLOWNS.
There is example after example of GOP influence in the DILLON office, with the GOP and its operatives skating away, without criminal prosecution.
IT IS TIME FOR THE U.S. ATTORNEY'S OFFICE TO GET INVOLVED. I SMELL "RICO" INDICTMENTS -- IF THE US ATTY OFFICE DOES ITS JOB...THE problem is the NASSAU GOP has been entrenched for so long there is nary a public official or job holder who does not owe something to the organization.
SO, MY FELLOW GOPers, IT IS UP TO US.
As previous posters have written, HIT 'EM WHERE IT HURTS!! DO NOT GIVE MONEY AND VOTE FOR THE DEMS ONE OR TWO TIMES AROUND AND WATCH THE SYSTEM CHANGE...
IF THEY PUT THE BUCKET DOWN THE WELL AND IT COMES UP DRY, THEY WILL DIE OF THIRST!!! TO LIVE, they must then change and be accountable to the people who make it possible for them to live off the fat of the land.
YOU HAVE A VOICE!! USE IT!!!

I happen to be a member of the Nassau GOP; I happen to love the Nassau GOP; although, based on my prior posting, some of you may disagree with that statement; if I did not care about my party, I would not care what they do. I want it to be the party of yesteryear; the MACHINE that was a veritable nationwide MODEL studied by political scientists. We had a GReAT organization, but somewhere along the line, it got lost. . . IT IS UP TO US, the ones who do care, to make it great again. And, I am not talking about the Bruce Bents of the world, who just make trouble and problems and do nothing to help solve the problem. We must be unified. THAT DOES NOT MEAN WALKING LOCKSTEP WITH YOUR LEADERSHIP ON EVERY ISSUE ALL THE TIME. IN FACT, THAT is the surest way of destroying any organization. THERE MUST BE FREE AND OPEN DEBATE OF ISSUES AND IDEAS. THAT IS BREATHING FRESH AND CLEAN AIR INTO IT. THE GOP IS A DYNAMIC - NOT STATIC- ORGANIZATION. IT MUST CHANGE WITH THE TIMES. Unfortunately, the current leadership is afraid of change. AND, in all fairness, CHAIRMAN MONDELLO WAS A GREAT LEADER WHO SHOULD BE REVERED. HE RAN A GREAT ORGANIZATION. HE MUST THER CHANGE WITH THE TIMES OR GIVE IT OVER (PEACEFULLY AND WHOLEHEARTEDLY) TO THE NEXT GENERATION. MONDELLO AND MARGIOTTA WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE. THEY SHOULD BE TREATED AS THE ELDER STATESMEN OF OUR PARTY, BUT IT MAY BE TIME TO HAND OVER THE RGNS...

Let's start a fund for reward monies generated by information leading to indictments from 1000 for petty crimes to 50,000 for the big cheese.
Where could Denis Dillon start first?

dillon wont start anywhere, b/c if he was interested he would have started years ago...Dillon is not your answer. It's ther the US atty or get Dillon out and a DA who will act to prosecute ALL crimes in the county, not only selected ones.

"Reform" GOPers and other malcontents continue to agitate against the leadership of Mr. Mondello, but do absolutely nothing else. The Chairman appears to have earned another two year lease on Post Avenue.
It's nice to have ideas, but folks don't take the best ideas seriously until thr proponents put thr mice and keyboards away and start knocking on doors.

If I'm wrong about the "armchair generals," please explain what concrete steps they have taken to challenge Mr. Mondello's leadership.

With most of his hand-picked candidates big losers in the Independence Primaries, and a good number even denied Conservate Party backing in an unpreceedented relegation to just one ballot appearance, anyone who thinks he's doing a great job must be self-delusional.
At last count, he's requested over $200,000 from his candidates for an advertising barrage (promoting who knows what message) but in any case has only recved $3,500 of it so far.
Get rid of the guy at the Party Convention. Come on, what are we waiting for?

Who are the intended recipients of the new Bent letter?
Also, who votes on electing Mondello to his position? Are it the leaders or all committeemen in the county?

The members of the Town of Hempstead (7 PM) and Nassau County Republican Committees (8 PM) will meet this coming Wednesday at the Wisdom Lane School, 120 Center Lane in Levittown.
The purpose of this meeting is to organize the committees by the election of officers, to adopt rules and regulations and to conduct such other business as might properly come before them.
I anticipate that the meetings will follow a script prepared by Chairman Mondello. The Committees' members will elect the officers preselected by the Chairman, including himself. I anticipate no contested committee elections.
Those who truly want reform had thr chance months ago to primary "regular" party committeepersons. They allowed the opportunity to slip away.
GOP "reformers" whine, but do little else.
