I think it is disgusting how Steve Levy does NOT take care of his employees. Yet he certainly knows how to take care of himself. I wonder if the shoe were on the other foot if he would take care of his employees. Know what I suggest? Just a suggestion.

Make the county look like crap by not going the extra little or alot on the job. Do what your duties are and no more. Make them pay overtime for lunch periods that can not be taken due to NO CHOW RELIEFS. Make sure that you put in for mileage rmbursement and meal money. If the Garbage they call food that they try to serve us in the chow hall is crap put in for meal money for not bng able to eat that crap. Let them turn us down then file a monster grievance. Let them make the cooks accountable for thier actions. Just like we have to do our job so should those ass kissing hooked up cooks. And Why Not?

Well I am glad to see SOMEONE finally sees the light instead of just me. What it is for him is "WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME" :twisted: and that's the truth. Just think about it. Have you seen Vito in the jail other then when he was running for re-election? NO, No, No, No that's the answer and do you know why? The reason because of what US as azzholes do every dam time election comes up. WE run scared that NOONEelse can do as lousy a job as Vito so we re-lect him and keekgettign screwed. Just our luck, but it is our own fault. Yes, Yes, Yes,,,,,,, we are our own worst enemies. The Suffolk Legislature's last two Republican presiding officers -- Legis. Joseph Caracappa and ex-lawmaker Paul Tonna -- have come out for the re-election of Democratic County Executive Steve Levy as part of a group dubbed Republicans for Levy.

The group surfaced Tuesday while local Republican officials continue to wrestle with whether they should put forward thr own candidate for county executive or cross-endorse Levy, like the GOP did with District Attorney Thomas Spota two years ago and Democrats did with Republican Comptroller Joseph Sawicki last year.

What makes Caracappa's endorsement unusual is that the Selden Republican is still in office, though he cannot run for re-election because of the county's term limits law, and his name has surfaced as a potential GOP candidate for several Brookhaven offices, including town supervisor and highway superintendent. Caracappa could not be reached for comment.

Levy said he and Caracappa have bonded over the last year or so because of thr joint concern on how the illegal immigrant issue was affecting homeowners in Farmingville and other communities. Levy's relationship with Tonna goes back to when Levy backed Tonna in a bipartisan coalition to make him presiding officer.

"I think they came forward because they are pleased with the sound fiscal leadership we have brought to the county," said Levy.

Joining the two elected officials are attorney Mitchell Pally, former chief lobbyist for the Long Island Association, and former Smithtown Town Attorney John Zollo.

Harry Withers, Suffolk Republican chairman, could not be reached for immediate comment and Jesse Garcia, Brookhaven GOP leader, declined immediate comment.

Rumors have circulated that Caracappa might join Levy's administration, but the county executive said there have been no discussions about hiring Caracappa. Others have speculated that Caracappa might be under consideration for a job at Suffolk County Community College, or one with Conservative County Sheriff Vincent DeMarco.

Yeah adn VD from SCCOA might be in line fro a job with Levy next year when he retires, if he gets the chance to retire.............

Unfortunately my friend, no one cares. "It's part of the job", is the only reply you will get. The food? Well, I bet the general public will tell you to buy your own like they do.

Let's not exclude the members of our own department. If we had any unity, and half the loudmouths out there had the sack to match, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Talk a good game, then stay for overtime when they should be at the union meeting, or a rally or protests (when we had them).

Voting the old "retreads" back into office isn't a big help ther. Let's vote them out because they do a crappy job...then in a few years put them right back in. Makes us look real smart.
