scpd anti crime squad

Whats with these pups, bunch of dips w/ 5300+ tins arresting everything in site? Embarassing. They are letting the dept use them for empty stats( arrest for 511.1 etc) and becoming the laughing stocks of the dept. Company boys.
You want to be impressive? Stay in patrol, put up the same #s but with quality arrests. And handle a sector, learn to turn over informants, etc.
Whats amazing is they actually think they are going somewhere, like they are better then everyone and are acting like they arent relief drivers that think this is permanent. Heard a guy from the 6th just walked out of it, because its just lame.
Listen, dont be in such a hurry to get out of patrol, enjoy your time there, if you get promoted before 5 years(real promotion, not just a b.s. tryout like this) you probably havent learned enough.
You pups have made some enemies now, you are going to have a rough time when you come back in a few weeks. And just so you know, I'm not in patrol, havent been in 10+ years, This isnt a jealous poster.
good idea, bad application
good idea, bad application
A better application of manpower would be to create permanent traffic units, assigned to each precinct. Have you seen the way the AVERAGE Suffolk County resident drives? A concerted effort would make the roads safer, fewer accidents and fatalities. I know I would feel alot better when my wife and kids are out on road with all those crazy drivers.
and your posting this here and why? get a life jerkoff

Thats exactly why they go for the kids, promise them the world, and use thr ambition against them. Anyone with a few years on wouldnt be caught dead on this assignment. Its a dead end.
It is sad, i heard the end squad p' off the entire top end of the 6th pct with the hairy lemon deal, needless to say all the C.O.s of all the precincts have gotten wind of it by now, its gonna suck going back to patrol
stank a rat

yeah anytime they got a detail; and it isnt offered to senior cops 1st, be advised ...its gonna stink
its not offered to senior guys alot of times because they are zeros.
my squad for example
senior guys:
one has no arrests all year
one has two arrests for the year
and two others have one each
yeah i want a guy like that on a detail

right and? a senior guy wouldnt want this garbage, in fact anyone whose tin is under 5600 should pretty much laugh at this. The same losers doing this are the ones who 'll be on the handicap utt initiative next month. And before I'm accused of bng a slug, I average over 35 arrests a year and 1100 calls a year. I'd rather make real arrests, then play pretend cope wanna be kiddy cop. And thats why they dont bother real cops. I've probably made as many 32s in the past 2 months as any of you turds, and did it at my lsure, not with a sgt and lt standing over my shoulder.
Duh .. the guy who started this post is what we call a loser.
I have a feeling of who it is. I can tell everyone that he is on patrol. Thats bad how everyone worries about everyone except themselves. Get a life. SO Typical. Who cares.. Until you pay others cops bills don't tell them how to do a job. Oh and he said wait till you guys get back on patrol... ohhhhh no!!! what to do.. what to do..... I am so nervous like you on how others feel about me... Get a life... Duh

Well lets see, when you are a guest in another cops sector/ pct and you stir up sh!t or jump all over a "hot " call, and expect patrol to clean up after you, actually calling for them on the radio.... we do care, your rep as a cop started before you got out of the academy, and it continues to build ther good or bad. You might think hopping on the bandwagon and getting your empty #s are good for your career, but when a 12 sgts and 6 lts are badmouthing you because of how you are acting in thr pct, and telling your bosses the same you've just put yourself on the bottom of the list. #s do not make promotions HOOKs do.

Summary arrests for UPM, even when the subject has valid ID and no warrants. Will the games ever end?
Summary arrests for 511.1 as well.
Rumor is if its a slow night, the anti crime unit goes to known trouble spots and shakes the tree until they get a poor fool for a dis con
I'm all for pro-active policing. Going out and making quality of life type of arrests has a beneficial effect right on down the line. It tends to decrease the more serious crimes. It's exactly how the NYPD was able to bring down the crime rate. Once that mental midget Dinkins was gone the NYPD was able to go out and do the job. But this nonsense is ridiculous. It's just numbers for the sake of numbers. Summary arrests for violations when the CPL says an appearance ticketet MUST be issued in lieu of an arrest. Nothing but a BIG scam. Big waste of money. Then they have the nerve to question someone (and his supervisor) when he stays an extra 20 minutes on a domestic. Not to mention not filling PO and supervisor vacancies.
Problem is they have these kids trying to do something they arent ready for. Then when the west end team is getting 7-8 quality drug/warrant arrests a week. The end supervisors feel the heat and expect the same. So instead of letting these guys actually find a crime in progress, or cruise a high burg/drug/crime type area, they get desparate and lock up anything that comes along. Leave the 511 arrests to cope, go find some CRIME.

They're doing discons, UPM's and 511's on the west end too.

I must not have been clear. I was trying to say that NONE of them are making good arrests or doing meaningful police work. Thr paperwork is improving, though.
anyone who has anytime on the job what so ever knows about the bosses and the carrot on the stick keep chasng newbies till you relize hooks get you where your trying to get to numbers only get bosses recognized

They won't ask the senior salts because they cant get the senior guys to do the job they are supposed to do now! Most senior guys just don't want to be bothered. 16 on, give me a wake up 10-13 in 4 more. Let these young guys lock up every 511, every 509 even I don't care. I agree with the guy who said it best;
"until you pay my bills, don't even try to tell me what I should do with my life".
Sounds good to me skippy! You sound like a jealous old timer who never got offered anything outside patrol - probably because of the same SH!T attitude you displayed right here by starting this post you douche'.
Point of fact: over two thirds of 511 drivers operate UNINSURED motor vehicles. (I'll spell it out for you- 511 collars take uninsured operators off the road and away from your family and mine). I never want to see anyone hurt in an accident, but it bugs the sh!t out of me when I'm doing paper on a 10 where the idiot who caused it has no insurance and the other poor schmuck is on an ambulance ride to Stony Brook.

If you aren't rock and rolling early in your career you're in the wrong line of work.
Do what you think is right, because what ever you do some wash-woman is gonna be bad-mouthing you.

First, I have no problem with the anti crime guys. It is what it is. Someone was gonna do it. Maybe guys want the OT that they're getting. Maybe it's something else. Who knows? But someone was gonna do it. If nobody volunteered, they'd just assign the new guys anyway, so why the fuss? But I wanted to comment on this: "511 collars take uninsured operators off the road" ????? Sure, I guess they do. But for how long? You process the arrest, they make the $50. bail, and in an hour or so they're driving again. Some probably right out of the pct. lot. You gotta make a better point than that. Honestly, is that not true?

You're right, numbers get the inspector of thr backs. Truth be told it really doesn't take much in the way of numbers to do that. The sgts and lt spend an awful lot of time trying to get 4 or 5 slugs to do SOMETHING. Getting a few non-producers to do something goes a long way towards getting the C.O. off thr backs. That and bng the inspector's OT watchdog. The money aint coming out of my pocket, but when I have to do a 42 every time someone stays past 3 or 7 or 11, well let's just say it's less work to keep an eye on things than it is to write 42's all the time. As I said before numbers don't get the bosses anywhere. Hooks do. Anyone who's been a boss for more than a few years knows that. It really isn't any different. If you don't believe me just see the example made plainly clear by all the people who jumped 2,3 or 4 ranks after Levy took office.

jealous..
keep on pushing the sector car.
tell everyone why you are so anggry
then guess what?
10 yrs from now you will still loved to be heard from.
you are just part of the cyvle. Your official name is loser... but when you are off work you are so simple to call yourself a cop!
get a life....... those who have no problems with that are at work called cops.. those with problem doing police work are called losers..
you are a loser.... retire soon or at l in 13yrs
The anti-crime unit, in theory, is a good idea but in reality it is a complete joke. Why do we need another unit to make 511, UPMs, CPCS7, and loitering arrests? We already have COPE, Crime Control, and the Gang Unit already doing this. Isn't the purpose of Anti-crime to prevent crime? Shouldn't these guys be addressing crime patterns in each pct? These guys go out and are told to lock up anybody for anything so they go out and lock anybody up for the pettiest things. 511 (0 on 0 for Ins. Lapse), One bag of weed with 4 people in the car= 4 upms. When is enough enough? My biggest gripe with this unit is the constant running of data over the pct radio bands. There was a violent EDP call and before the units on scene could advise they were controlled, these guys were trying to run 45s and 45as on 4 people. They are ignorant as to what is going on around them and this is not an isolated incident. Get them off the pct radio bands and put them on command band or get the Data band going again. They are going to get somebody hurt.

Most senior guys just don't want to be bothered. 16 on, give me a wake up 10-13 in 4 more. Let these young guys lock up every 511, every 509 even I don't care. I agree with the guy who said it best;

I never want to see anyone hurt in an accident, but it bugs the sh!t out of me when I'm doing paper on a 10 where the idiot who caused it has no insurance and the other poor schmuck is on an ambulance ride to Stony Brook. For starters, there is a entire pct pissed off at the way these nobodies carried on. I was working the nite w/ the hairy lemon incident, and I'm not in patrol, to listen to the arrogance of these kids, asking for a "patrol car" to basically come and clean up after them.....its deplorable, you are right about paying bills etc, but for starters, dont think you are better than anyone, you MAKE a bag of sh!t, you clean it. No one not a dic, ccu, k-9 or anyone else who dare do that. This will all be over in a month or so, then these wunderkind will be back in thr respective commands, but thr legacy is written already. Nobody is going to want to touch them.
Like posted, this was a lame a$$ detail, basically a extension of cope without the bike unis...they did this over the summer, but had good cops doing it, gang unit, gordon hts operator. Of course they are going to take the influential young kids that they can push. Anyone with a badge under 5000 whether they like to get dirty or not, would simply walk after bng pressured for kiddie arrests. That is why they didnt use ccu or the gang unit. These newbies, and not so newbies are thinking this is thr way out of patrol. Sadly they let it go to thr heads.
Y'know what, 511 arrests are a stupid waste of time. Write the summons, unless the guy is 5x5 or better, write him. Funny if 2/3 of 511 arrests or summons are uninsured then why doesnt the anti crime unit IMPOUND the vehicles? If you are seriously concerned about unlicensed/ agg unlicensed, uninsured, there would be far more impounds, I didnt hear the anti-crime unit impound 1 vehicle. 50 $ bail, and the cat is back on the road. hhhmmmm.. I guess he was off the road and away from my families for a good hour or so...lol

exactly. You want to actually fight crime cruise my nghborhood where every weekend the kids do about 10,000 in damage to cars and steal about 2000 worth of stuff from them.Y'know what, 511 arrests are a stupid waste of time. Write the summons, unless the guy is 5x5 or better, write him. Funny if 2/3 of 511 arrests or summons are uninsured then why doesnt the anti crime unit IMPOUND the vehicles? Typical this pro 511 arrest must be a supervisor. Spin a good tale, tell us how the driver is off the street, how 2/3 are uninsured, that 's a dubious statement, do you have proof? Or is it 2/3s arrested or summoned fail to show valid insurance card? Then tell us how in a month if he fails to show, there'll be a warrant that he gets locked up for.
But leave out, He is bailed for chump change. His car isnt impounded. He leaves and continues to drive every day. If he fails to show, you go pick him up and give him a 50.00 a hour taxi ride to court, where he gets a public defender on our dime, and the ticket is reduced to a tailight out. Or he requests a adjournment and we pay you guys to drive him to court again next month.
You want to do us a favor? Take his car, impound it, refuse to release it until he has valid insurance and drivers license. Never happen, too much to expect. Instead we'll have Your commissioner and levy with thr pie graf showing how "effective " this unit was. But thanks to this thread, at l some of us will know what it really was

Did a guy from the 6th really quit the detail after volunteering???? I thought it was only 45 days??????
Really enough with the spin. You want to do us "families" a favor? Go after all the illegals driving cars w/out of state plates. None of them are insured and all of them are guaranteed to run after wiping out a family or two while driving. But I guess there is no glory in that. Impound thr cars and make them walk. Maybe then instead of empty numbers and decving the public, you'll at l be doing your job and helping the public.

One of my buddies is on the West End team and reading some of these posts is cracking me up. Don't assume that just b/c the tins are high these guys don't have experience b/c most have been on elsewhere including some former detectives. One west end team recovered (2) ounces of coke the other night, and found a trap in a car, which I'm sure most of you "Vets" do every night. I see these guys at the 1st precicnt and everyone's been a true gentleman, and I've seen no arrogance from anyone. My buddy tells me all they're trying to do is cultivate informants from arrests, but some slow nights a bullshit arrest will have to do as we all know it's a number's game. Everyone had the chance to put in for this thing, so you vets should keep quiet if you didn't do so. My boy tells me they're getting great info, but NESSOT is so busy w/ thr stuff that they sometimes can't help ACE w/ thr C.I.'s, and anyone who knows anything here knows you can't make buys w/o NESSOT. If you clowns are that good, sign up, dazzle us with your brilliance, come in w/ (5) Kilo's and (5) guns and we'll be impressed!

ok jeff thats believable
What a bunch of whinnig NANCY'S. Get a grip this unit was implemented on a temp basis on both the west end and end. I cant believe what a bunch of back stabbing losers you are. The bottom line is YOU ARE ALL doing a job.Learn how to work together instead of complaining! I think that the ones who are whinning the most are the slugs on the midnights who are all to use to hiding and doing the most minimal work, and now when the ace unit has to do the paper work in certain pct. like the 6th these slugs can no longer do thr usual NOTHING!!!! The purpose of this unit is to see if something like this on a permenant basis would actually be beneficial to help out the cops on thr regular patrol. We are always hearing how badly extra cops are needed and you JERKS (and you know who you are ) are undermining the possibility to incr. the the # of patrol. If some of you are so insecure that you feel that this unit is treading on your turf , Then maybe the real problem is the fact YOU are A NON-PRODUCER and these guys and girls are in your SECTORS and showing just how much is going on while YOU ARE SLEEPING!!!!!! Keep up the good work A.C.E. Unit .

The guys are making plenty of felony collars too. These lame guys don't have any of the facts. Take a walk back to the squad (you know... its that part of the precinct where you never go) after you guys finish with those tough DATs you have to write for them (hey...maybe you can go 401/carpal tunnel) and see whats going on, there are usually a couple of ACE guys back there.

Asking for an assist is taboo then? Should the cop say "pretty-please?" It shouldn't matter how it comes over on the radio---when its obvious a cop needs help you go no questions-to psychoanalyze the way the cop stated his request on the air is retarded. The entire thing is bng blown way out of proportion-there are enough problems on this job already, why create another?

Asking for an assist is taboo then? Should the cop say "pretty-please?" It shouldn't matter how it comes over on the radio---when its obvious a cop needs help you go no questions-to psychoanalyze the way the cop stated his request on the air is retarded. The entire thing is bng blown way out of proportion-there are enough problems on this job already, why create another?
Asking for an assist is not the issue. When another cop needs help I'm on my way, balls to the wall. It's another thing when you hear "get us a sector car for a transport", get us a sector car for paper", "get us a female for a search"...
I agree with the part about not telling anyone what to do. Personally I have no problem with the kids running around and kicking butt.
My problem is when your job interferes with mine. If you are trying to wake up the savages, and you get more than you bargained for, I've no problem responding so that YOU dont get hurt. My problem is dont expect us to take reports for you, or "handle " your problems. I've never heard a chief talk in such manner on the radio, let alone someone that was in diapers when I was sworn into the job. Try courtesy little bros and sisses, when you are talking to your peers, which I considered you all, even when you were just ppos.

I agree, but that isn't what happened on the night in question-2 cops needed help making a 32-end of story.

its unfortunate you have to deal with non essential garbage such as the comments posted in this website. its also amazing how "some" old salty dogs shoot thr mouth off about how great a cop he is and others are just young pups running around making b.s. collars. maybe you should look at the nickname a little more. SALTY DOG!! maybe your salty b/c you have a boring life, and a non productive career.and since you are miserable you need to take everyone down with you. maybe instead of waisting all your time on this website making rude comments about people trying to better themselves on this job, you should have typed up some high drug locations, or printed out maps where you had a recent shooting, robbery, or burglary. since your such the tailored veteran cop who knows so much. you want your pct cleaned up? take the initiative and help out instead of bng salty.maybe your on a power trip thinking your cool and cocky b/c your salty.come on show some great places to go get collars. and you know what, your right, 511 arrests for the most part dont have very much impact in helping get the big fish, but theres always a handful that will lead into something big. similar to the one that the end got out in the 6th pct, which led to 4 solid felony buys. guess that doesnt count for anything though. oh yeah how about the 511 warrant arrest that gave info on another dealer. that led to 4 more collars. all up in the 6th pct. your forgetting something else, when the ace unit goes to different pct everyday and isnt familiar with the geography of the pct on top of the hot spots to go, it makes it that much harder to get the "big collars". so thats why you gotta start off with the small potatoes first and work your way up.so once again i ask why not help out and give some info about your pct problems. maybe you can post them up in the pct. just let it go already!!!
Do you know why most of these guys are even complaining? Because they've never done the stuff that ACE is doing right now. They don't know how, they're afraid, or they're just too lazy. I think the team (at l West-End, although I'm sure -End is the same) is bng run well. I would have liked to do it, but I have child care issues and can't do the hours right now. I say more power to em, this detail is the reason I became a cop, pro-active policing, and some action thrown in. When they come in w/ something good, even the old timers at the 1st begin to care how they got it, who's involved, and where it went down, and you can see that guys are impressed w/ the work.
gee 6 posts out of 7 all praising the anti 511 err I mean the anti crime unit, why are you defending yourself so hard? Hit a nerve? You guys screwed up, every boss I've talked to is simply shaking thr heads. It WAS a experiment, it went bad, the last one done by the 6th was aces, but they had real cops, who had real arrests. You want to fight crime? In the 6th pct the port jeff sta area has been 10-3ed to death, the selden/centereach 10-2ed from a car to death, etc etc etc, when are you guys going to go there?
lowly sector operator
10-29-2006, 05:28 PM
I find it amazing that when they asked the guys who did it last year if they wanted to do it again, just about everyone declined. why? cause the detail blows. and I heard big boss was up everyones a$$. ask the new jacks at the end of detail if they would go back because in a year, these rookies will still be pushing a sector car or still be a relief operator. they think they will be detectives though hahaha.
Hey J.O. which cop told you they thought they were going to get a detective badge out of this detail? I was on the detail last time and know guys on this one, and have NEVER heard ANYONE ever mention anything about a detective badge. I think we all do it for the same reason, it's a change of pace, it's a resume builder, it's a chance to do some networking, and to learn some new stuff. We all realize hooks happen, but there's a nepotism hook, and then there's a hook you create whern a boss who you've worked for then goes somewhere you want to go, sees your app, and recommends you based on your superior job performance under him. As a result, the more people you work for, and do a good job for, the better reputation you create and consequently, the better chance of going somewhere you want to be. You will probably be a sector car operator FOREVER, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just not for me.

Holy crap. if you actually believe what you wrote, you must be the fn dummest guy on this job. wake up and smell the coffee douche bag, the dept is playing you. don't be one of there pawns.

Hey Anti-Violation dope. Obviously you weren't paying attention that night on the radio, probably processing your UPM collar. The anti-crime unit at the Hairy Lemon asked for another crime unit. When the dispatcher couldn't raise that unit, 5 6th pct cars started responding. The crime unit then said that they had the subject in custody and the 6th pct units went 27. The 602 operator showed up anyway and the 5th pct hairbag asked her where the 6th pct units were to transport the prisoner. That was the same night that the 6th pct cell attendant got hurt wrestling with one of anti-crime's prisoners while the anti-crime cop did nothing. The same night that 4 anti-crime cops were locking up 4 hispanics for discon while the unit at the hairy lemon was asking for another crime unit. Why don't you get your facts straight before you start spewing your nonsense? There are some good guys in anti-crime and then there are 3 yr hairbags like yourself who think that driving around gordon hghts, mastic or bellport locking up UPMs is doing "real" police work. Don't worry you will be back on patrol soon and you can lock up all the shoplifters and 511s you want. Superstar.

Wow, somebody did hit a nerve. You squad 5 guys actually have a pulse? Plus you! Man, you are the information booth-we have to believe you of course. All the other precincts haven't had any trouble with the ACE guys...how about taking a good look at yourselves, you guys seem to be the problem from what I've been hearing. I harken back to a certain Sgt. who you crucified here a few years ago. The ACE unit is just your newest thing to cry about.
You can learn from me

I"m sorry, but this thread is riddled with errors and I feel that I can give you all a little information that might just help some future posters actually sound as if they make sense. The English language can be confusing because it uses words that are spelled differently, but sound alike. Each spelling has a very different meaning and it is important to use the correct one. For instance, "thr", "there", and "they're" all sound alike but have very different meanings.
Let's look at the following example:
" Holy crap. if you actually believe what you wrote, you must be the fn dummest guy on this job. wake up and smell the coffee douche bag, the dept is playing you. don't be one of there pawns."
1) Thr: this is the possesive plural of 'he'. You would use this spelling when you needed to show that something belonged to a group of persons. (i.e. "Wake up and smell the coffee douche bag, the dept is playing you. Don't be one of THR pawns.)
2)There: this one can be an adverb or a pronoun and is used to describe a certain place. (i.e. The sixth pct. certainly seems like they have the best cops in the department. I wish I worked up THERE.)
3)They're: This is a conjunction and is used to combine the words "they" and "are" into one word. (i.e. THEY'RE doing good police work in the ACE Unit.)
So, in the future, if you are going to tell me I am the "fn dummest guy on this job", please use proper grammar when you do so. One last thing, dumbest has a "b" in it.

1st) 511 collars took bad drivers off the street
That was debunked in about 2 posts
2nd) 511 collars led to collossol drug busts
hahahaha that didnt hold water
3rd) now we have mr grammar.
When you have nothing else to comment on but someones useage of grammar or punctuation, you already lost
Whats with these pups, bunch of dips w/ 5300+ tins arresting everything in site? Embarassing.
Of course you are embarrassed by you own job performance. Which is why you are here trying to stifle rookie cops who are doing what they are trained to do.
It's the - sit on your butt and do nothing cops - like yourself who the SCPD should be embarrassed by.
They are letting the dept use them for empty stats( arrest for 511.1 etc) and becoming the laughing stocks of the dept. Company boys.
I would like to personally congratulate each one of these rookie cops who are doing what they swore to do, enforce the law.
It's a shame that Veteran police officers like yourself come here and slam these rookie cops for doing thr job.
And since when does a cop have the discretion to ignore a driver who is driving with a suspended license (511)?
You want to be impressive? Stay in patrol, put up the same #s but with quality arrests.
Wait a minute. Since when do we pay our cops to make ONLY quality arrests? We train you guys to arrest everyone who commits crimes defined in the penal and and local ordinances.
You and I know the only time police can use discretion is when investigating traffic offenses. Otherwise you must enforce ALL other laws on the books or risk getting jammed up by your superiors for not enforcing the law.
From reading your post it seems to me you are a poorly trained SCPD officer who requires intensive supervision.
Whats amazing is they actually think they are going somewhere,
What gives you that impression? Perhaps they enjoy doing thr job and enforcing ALL the laws police officers are trained and required to enforce???
Perhaps if the poorly trained and supervised officers like yourself were doing your job in the first place, there would have been no need for the SCPD to create a specialized unit that targets low level crimes.
Heard a guy from the 6th just walked out of it, because its just lame.
You've got some pair of testicles, My Friend. You come to a public message board and slam cops for doing thr job.
Seriously, how lame are your opinions? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Listen, dont be in such a hurry to get out of patrol, enjoy your time there, if you get promoted before 5 years(real promotion, not just a b.s. tryout like this) you probably havent learned enough.
It seems to me the SCPD brass has recognized that when it places it's newer officers on patrol next to old-timers like yourself, the old-timers tend to influence the rookies by teaching them to disregard thr academy training.
Kudos to the SCPD for introducing an innovative technique to insulate rookie officers from the seasoned patrol officers who feel they can pick and choose who they want to arrest.
You pups have made some enemies now, you are going to have a rough time when you come back in a few weeks.
HOLY FRIGGIN" SHITE. You are so freakin' sad!!!
I can't believe you are threatening your fellow officers for doing exactly what they are trained and payed to do.
The comments made by the officer who started that thread are making me sick to my stomach. It seems obvious to me the SCPD officer who started this thread should be indentified and be served with charges and specs for malfeasances
And just so you know, I'm not in patrol, havent been in 10+ years, This isnt a jealous poster
I don't view you as jealous. I see you as the officer who walks around the precinct station house with a broom in his hand. The same officer who refers to every civilian who walks thru the station house door as an, "azzhole".
yawn, who you be the one and only john menso? fired for drug use from the nypd?
We arent talking about letting a 511 walk with a stern reprimand, we are talking the difference between a summonsable offense which 511.1a1 is or a arrest. The time it takes them to arrest a person for what can be handled by a summons, with the same exact outcome, they could actually sit on a drug house, or canvass a high burg area for a real arrest. The issue isnt young bucks fighting crime, its what crimes they chose to fight.
I find it amazing that when they asked the guys who did it last year if they wanted to do it again, just about everyone declined. why? cause the detail blows. and I heard big boss was up everyones a$$. ask the new jacks at the end of detail if they would go back because in a year, these rookies will still be pushing a sector car or still be a relief operator. they think they will be detectives though hahaha.
after this units several debacles, the dept is seriously considering changing its policies, in regards to who they use and where they are used. It might be done on a smaller level within a pct, and by more veteran cops, let the spare bodies fill in for them, and learn how to do patrol work 1st.
Hey J.O. which cop told you they thought they were going to get a detective badge out of this detail? yeah enjoy yourselves and your grammar now, when you are forced to mids next class you company boys will see what the mids are really like.

Right, but for the 1 sgt and lt they've made a hook with, in this case you have over 10 different bosses talking about them, in public view, I walked by some the other morning, I'm not squad 5 or even in the 6th..... you know how this job is, even if you were on the other side of the pct, or in another pct all together, when thr apps are looked at, someone will say "wasnt the the team that had the Hairy lemon bag of.......", then call someone they know who was working that nite. Thats not doing much for your future.
You cam learn from me

When you have nothing else to comment on but someones useage of grammar or punctuation, you already lost
Lesson 2: The apostrophe
The apostrophe has two common uses in the English language.
First: It is used to replace one or two letters when forming a contraction. (i.e. {THEY'RE} Look to my previous post for an example. ***side note: I mistakenly referred to a contraction as a conjuction in my prior post. I apologize and hope that this did not seriously interfere with anyone's learning.)
Second: The apostrophe is used with the possesive "s". (i.e. My STUDENT'S grammar is getting better, but still needs work.)
So, let's look at another example.
"hahahaha that didnt hold water"
"When you have nothing else to comment on but someones useage of grammar or punctuation, you already lost"
We now know that these posts should read as follows:
1) "hahahaha that DIDN'T hold water"
2)"When you have nothing else to comment on but SOMEONE'S useage of grammar or punctuation, you already lost"
Don't feel discouraged. You are improving with every post and I'm confident that you will be posting error free by the time people are tired of reading this thread.

its unfortunate you have to deal with non essential garbage such as the comments posted in this website. its also amazing how "some" old salty dogs shoot thr mouth off about how great a cop he is and others are just young pups running around making b.s. collars. maybe you should look at the nickname a little more. SALTY DOG!! maybe your salty b/c you have a boring life, and a non productive career.and since you are miserable you need to take everyone down with you. maybe instead of waisting all your time on this website making rude comments about people trying to better themselves on this job, you should have typed up some high drug locations, or printed out maps where you had a recent shooting, robbery, or burglary. since your such the tailored veteran cop who knows so much. you want your pct cleaned up? take the initiative and help out instead of bng salty.maybe your on a power trip thinking your cool and cocky b/c your salty.come on show some great places to go get collars. and you know what, your right, 511 arrests for the most part dont have very much impact in helping get the big fish, but theres always a handful that will lead into something big. similar to the one that the end got out in the 6th pct, which led to 4 solid felony buys. guess that doesnt count for anything though. oh yeah how about the 511 warrant arrest that gave info on another dealer. that led to 4 more collars. all up in the 6th pct. your forgetting something else, when the ace unit goes to different pct everyday and isnt familiar with the geography of the pct on top of the hot spots to go, it makes it that much harder to get the "big collars". so thats why you gotta start off with the small potatoes first and work your way up.so once again i ask why not help out and give some info about your pct problems. maybe you can post them up in the pct. just let it go already!!!
so your telling me you've made a total of 8 actual arrests other then upm and 511? wow impressive
You've learned from me

Excellent job! You pass.
, it's a resume builder, it's a chance to do some networking, and to learn some new stuff.
Thats not doing much for your future.

for the person who made the remark about the 4 dis con's during the hairy lemon incident, you failed to mention that they are all confirmed ms -13 members and the bouncer at the night club stated they were at the club last week and had started a major brawl, he reached out to us to help him and the club... so thats what they did. they couldnt assist at the hairy lemon since they already went 32 prior to the assist coming over. so when you get your facts straight then maybe you can say something intelligent. also this entire dispute is over an isolated incident, with a handful of po's with a difference of opinion. dont bash the entire end anticrime task force for something so small. the problem at hand is you must make a mochary of something so small, so that you have something to do in your spare time. again let it go.. if you have a problem about an episode that occurred, maybe the right thing would have been to pull that officer aside and express your concern like a gentlemen, so that it doesnt happen again, rather than to put everyone down who's trying to do something with thr career.who knows maybe the 4 dis con's prevented an assault that was bound to happen. maybe that little violation stopped a major felony and some poor person going to stonybrook ER. maybe you should look at the big picture instead of just some of the little details.LET IT GO!!!
"COMRADRY" look it up. its obvious you were tardy the day the instructor taught us about it in the academy.
class dismissed!
After reading thru this thread, I and most of my squad mates, not in 6th, felt the origanl poster was wrong for dealing with this matter over the internet. This coulda been handled face to face. But after reading most of the replies, we kind of feel like it was attempted, and the newjacks simply dont want to hear it. My guess, you pi@@ed off some guys working enough that they felt like it was worthy to let all of your coworkers know about it. Your replies reek of arrogance. SLUGS, salty, jealous etc etc. You are a guest in a precinct, or sector, you are a patrol cop, lets face it, you will be the majority of your careers(fyi cope is still patrol). These are your coworkers. If they got a gripe with you or what you did in thr house, listen to it. Dont dismiss it as jealous or lazy or anything else. They are the ones who have to deal with the repercussions of what you did in thr sector or precinct. Now that its out everyone knows about it, this is going to follow you. I work far away from the 6th....real far, yet I know the names and roles of everyone involved. Think the guy working the desk out on lite duty with the dinosaur tin cares if he wont ever get a interview again for a detail? Most of you, I'm assuming want to go places, and you are working your butts off, now you have to deal with bng known for the "hairy lemon incident"

So now you piece together a shaky story about how the week before they were there and started a fight. Wow where was the 6th???? Must have been some brawl, not even a 911 call. Did you use one of your Confidential Investigation ccs you drew 1st week in the unit, you know, the ones you draw just in case you fall into a good arrest, you can pretend you planned it??? lol

Something to ponder
Those who don't or cant get our job - end up hating us and trashing us.
Those who are on the the job and can't get a detail - end up hating us and trashing us.
Some just don't want to be a cop or have anything to do with police work. Its such a simple concept why do cops have such a hard time of understanding that?

I would look it up in the dictionary, if there was such a word. Maybe you mean "comaraderie" or even "comradery". I guess you were absent when they taught 3rd grade spelling. Wow, 4 confirmed MS-13 gang members and all you guys got out of it was DisCon. Like somebody else posted, obviously the brawl the previous week wasn't that huge if there were no 911 calls or victims of violence at any ERs. I guess helping the bouncer and the club that cater to all this was more important than helping one of your own who needed help. And save me the crap that they were already 32 when the assist came over because that is a flat out lie. They were still at the club. Even if they had 4 guys cuffed, take the cuffs off and go help the other guys. Obviously those DisCon violations were too good to pass up.

well said!
the hairy lemon is far from a club, its a rats hole in skelden. I think someone already said right across the street from a motorcycle gang's club located on dare rd...hence the numerous bikes out front every few nites. If 4 "gang members" were in there, and didnt have any weapons,(obvious from the violation charges) I'm betting the skeldenite chicks in the bar would have been able to handle those dangerous gang members.

I hate to break it to you, but that "detail" is garbage, just like prisoner run, wyandanch day or adelante day or any other detail that goes to the newjacks.
I dont recall anyone requesting to jump in there, in fact the cops were asked and mostly felt obligated to go, like if they say no it'll piss off the bosses. The cop that quit who is one of the bigger hammers, flat out said it was garbage. They had to ask 2-3 other cops from his squad before they got a replacement. They've learned a long time ago, guys with time on arent going to arrest just for the sake of a #, nor are they going to lock someone up that they can simply write a summons to. That is why there are pos with 5700 tins doing this. Because they do what they are told, they havent grown thr set yet.

You have two seperate incidents that occurred the same night all mixed up..you are confused...go back to sleep.

ok company ass suck, and you go back to bng a company man, hell maybe in 10 years you'll be out of patrol, like they are promising you. In the meantime I pray they force you to midnites, you wouldnt last a week. Oh wait you'll be hunting for 20s and have yourself a nice little pd-10, while we run around in your sector and clean up after you, kind of like what your squadmates do when you are in a car.

You are all disgusting! YOU PEOPLE are making such a big deal out of this DETAIL DO you jerks even realize that some of these people in these details belong to YOUR Pcts??? The certain people (And you know who you are) should really seek some ANGER MANAGMENT CLASSES!!!! I can't believe YOU even made it through the PSYCH Eval. Enough is Enough put thing to rest.

who asked you?
Really it funny to read. We have the tools vs the slugs, wah wah wah you are lazy, you are a #s company man.
Makes me glad I'm just a normal cop who goes to work answer his calls and backs his nghboring partners.
Way too much ego and fluff on that side of the pillow

Seems like some Cops asked for help and got none. Wow rookies or not, A--holes or not, causing trouble in God forbid someone eles's sector, it is still not believeable to me that there was no response from the 6th patrol.
I'm glad I'm not in the 6 House, if this is true.
Take care Brothers seems some of us are more better then others in some parts and times in this County.

That could be the most painful sentence I've ever read in my life. I think my eyes are actually bleeding. Can anyone translate please?

To date the unit has not generated 1 CC for any sector car in the 6th--nor would they ask for a car to handle thr "mess" Try that one again. Once again the facts are skewed.

First off- I said sector car- Which you have just acknowledged they have handled 0. Secondly, It is the cell attendant's job to lodge the prisoner-if he got hurt-that one is on him. Thirdly, the prisoner did finally get lodged. You know how? By the A.C. guys who were there with the cell attendant. Ask the cell attendant, better yet read the 42's.

just so you know, the ant crime unit is doing a great jog cleaning up the streets. last nite they made a nice collar on the end. 65 y/o male in a 1979 Chevy 4DSD was pulled over for a brake light out. turns out he was 511 1 on 1 date PLUS his inspection was expired by 4 ( not 3, not 2) but 4 days. took 4 anti crime cops to process the arrest. did it fast though, only took them 4 hours. plus the guy had a red jacket on so they said he was a Blood. nice pinch guys. keep up the good work!

really..thats funny I read it and it was a obvious joke, and a funny one based on reality, you need to lighten up, and stop trying to sound so professional. I bet if not one of you replied this post would have ended on page 1.

nice attitude, so a hard working guy is out on comp,(cell attendants do not get 401) and it probably could have been avoided had you drama queens not been so casual, "so what thats on him" nice attitude.. I'd never leave any of my 32s back there alone with him, at a minimum stand by while he lodges my prisoner. Surely even newbies like you realize you are married and responsible for that body until he is arraigned or you are off duty. SO ITS NOT ON THE CELL ATTENDANT, ITS ON YOU. nice elitist attitude.

It seems like something happened, though, who is right? who is wrong? Dont know, I dont know how this usddenly became a 10-1. I was working that nite, inn the 4th, no 10-1 came over.
It sounds to me like the guests in the pct didnt know how to act, and are minimizing thr responsibilty. To say a Attendant is on his own...horrible
From another ACE officer, That was a DICK thing to say about the attendant, "That's on him", WHAT THE FUCK? Who the fuck are you to say "that's on him", what a dick thing to say.
From another ACE officer, That was a DICK thing to say about the attendant, "That's on him", WHAT THE banned? Who the banned are you to say "that's on him", what a dick thing to say.
yeah, you have people bashing the entire pct for a incident that occurred on a midnite, which at no time was anything remotely close to a 10-1 , and yet a anti crime po can blame a civilian for a anti crime perp going off. In my pct when we have a 32 we standby with the attendant until he is lodged, especially if he is feeling froggy. IMHO this is on the arresting officers, no doubt they were too quick out the door to make sure the attendant was ok. Dont you guys work in pairs? So 2 cops arrested this perp, but you expect 1 civilian to handle him?

detention attendants most certainly do get 401.
detention attendants most certainly do get 401.
besides the point if they do, which I doubt, they have the same contract as us? I'd be seriously concerned with my fellow officers if they had a perp and handed him over and were out the door before he was lodged.

Its funny, the anti crime twerps are out writing handicappers and doint the prisoner runs, reminiscing thr glory days of running rampant, back to regular scrub work, hoping there s another run next spring, but this post remains as a tribute to thr screw up
I'm in Special Patrol and this "Anti Crime" unit is news to me...when did it start, what are they looking for, and how is it organized?

I knew there was a reason I left that den of cry babys years ago. After listening to you guys belly ache about what another cop is doing in " Your Sector" ( by the way, check your badge, it says "Suffolk County" on it, not Selden ) I have a sudgestion. Go home, wash the sand out of your vagina and half a good cry, you'll feel beter in the morning. You guys are pathetic.

Besides there have been other pcts bashing anti crime, I'm in the 3rd, and another person claiming to be a "ace" hisself.

go back to sleep

nice work
Hey, thats what happens when you hire a weeble. Deet Dee Dee.
You guys are pathetic.
what exactly is sudgestion?
Besides there have been other pcts bashing anti crime, I'm in the 3rd, and another person claiming to be a "ace" hisself.
You obviously didnt hear the story, its not about what they were doing in the sector, but what they were doing to the other cops working
go back to sleep

lol thats funny
I heard that the next time the dept starts the a/c initiative, they will use pos from cope, ccu and gang unit, they felt this group was weak and stirred too much shite up with patrol, possibly due to thr immaturity.
They would like to offer it to more senior guys, but they realize most arent as easily influenced into stirring up trouble or making weak arrests, so its going to the units that do it the best.
I heard the End group wants to end this thing after 45 days, what a bunch of la-whooo-zers! If you nothing else in this dep't, do yourselves a favor and shut up until the end of the detail. If not, your reputations as quitterswill follow you for a long long time, even if you're not one of the people who wants to end the detail early. Do yourselves a favor, make a good bust or (2) and do some damage control. I heard the West End team got a pound of weed last night, those guys are doing pretty good. Maybe if you enders shut up and make some good busts, you'll end up aw- ight. By the way, the arrogance I heard by (1) of the -Enders in the 1st precinct arrest room the other night was crazy, even the west enders did a double take.

I heard, from a guy that heard, from a guy that thought he heard, that this A/C thing was supposed to be only for 45 days anyway, so what's the big deal. Did something change?
The end unit was told by thr supe to stop posting here. They bng good little Nancys listened. The sgt felt that by ignoring this board it'll die down and everyone will forget what a$$holes they were for the past month. Another difference between them and the rest of patrol, thats why they were handpicked, probably all had a bad childhood and are looking to please thr new father figures

It's easy to make arrest like that on the west end, that's where all the real crime is and the real cops work. :D :D

surrrrre, the real cops work on the west end! lol I hope by west end you mean NYC. great job in Suffolk but all 7 precinct are C houses so dont kid yourself you sound pathetic. 7th, 6th 5th 1st they are all the same and trust me, been there done that. 3 sectors in the 6th make up the whole 1st precinct! your comparing apples to apples
Yeah...ALL city houses are "A" houses, and its Sooooooo busy EVERYWHERE. Spoken like a true 2 year wonder who doesn't have a clue, and didn't pass the SCPD test.
Really? then why does the single car in gordon hts have cops over 100 bodies by august? Over 150 by December...... 30-40 felonies? 80% of the 32s are unassisted?
I doubt there are many cops anywhere that can make that claim, Bed Stuy, Red hook, or out in C.i, the danch, hemp, amty, ect.
I worked the city for 5 years had 46 arrests, in a normal house..oh excuse me a "b", always had a partner, always had backup,Come out here and 2 years in have 60+, 30 a year in the city is bordering on superstar, out here its not even top 10.

Ifthe NYPD 32'ed for every harassment that someone wanted to press charges on they would have to triple the force cause nobody would be available for patrol.

Ease up, toughguy. The cops in Gordon Hghts, Wyandanch, Brentwood, Central etc. aren't making too many arrests for violations. I'll take the word of an ex-city cop working out here over the ignorant ramblings of a city cop with an inferiority complex  . The vast majority of city cops who come out here to work in the sticks are surprised to find out how busy it actually is.

right we arrest for violations, its our pd's policy. Your pd policy is not to arrest for a violation. Therefore you bump a harassment up to a menacing or assault 3, so you arrest the same violation but bump it up to suit you. Dont make it like it was your choice. In fact any arrest isnt your choice its a supervisors. As you always call one to make the choice.
We also dont arrest for 511.1 0 scoffs on 0 dates like you guys do.
Oh by the way, the nypd doesnt 32, why are you using scpd codes and talking about the nypd? Sounds to me like you are a troll, not a cop.

now its detroit, atlanta, st louis, whats next the Iraqi police?
Every job is the real job. When I worked in the city, I had a partner and 15 cops less then a minute away. I had 10-15 arrests and handled around 800 "jobs" a year. I work in 3rd pct, have 20+ felony arrests for drugs guns and assaults a year, handle over 1000 calls and ride alone and my nearest backup could be 5 minutes away. As far as total arrests, there are many guys pushing the 100 arrest mark in patrol. Are all of them quality commendation type arrests? No. But again there are many guys with more felony arrests then most nypd have total arrest.
The difference between the city and out here? If city cops tried doing what we do out here, they would be ccrb'ed to death. scpd rewards its cops for doing thr job, the city allows its cops to be punished. Scpd p.o. do thr job because they want to. Nypd pos do thr job only if they HAVE to.
We arent supposed to do that, we have the burbs, we are supposed to be rescuing cats out of trees. Suffolk/Nassau residents continue to live with the belief that they live in a better place, that the Island is lovely and nothing ever happens. They take offense if they hear a cop is working hard, because that means, He is earning his salary, which hurts on two levels, 1st he probably is outearning them, and 2nd, it dispells the myth that the scpd/ncpd arent "real cops", not that anyone in the general public has the credentials to judge what a real cop is. Also it means that cops are busy because the public at large are acting like savages.
Heres a better one, if the nypd is the real job, why is the academy class every year full of former nypd sgts, detectives, esu, iab, etc? Why is over 70% of scpd applicants prior time police officers? Why when I meet a guy "on the list" who doesnt make it he hates me for making it?
Why would thousands of cops leave thr jobs..."real" jobs to be on the pretend job? Dont tell me its the salary, you can go work in vegas on 1/2 the salary of scpd and buy a house for 1/4 the price of a L.I home, and live like a king with taxes under 500 a year likewise in North Carolina, etc etc.

The job out here is better in every aspect. Pay, the way the bosses treat you, the days off (PL days for holidays), the new car every 100,000, the way civilians treat you, the way the department backs you, the commute, and I can go on and on. I never mentioned the words "real job". I've worked in 2 "busier" precincts in Suffolk. When I say busier I mean compared to the 4th or the 6th. (before the 6th starts crying I know you have gordon hghts as your 1 busy car and I think it needs to be doubled) and I worked in 2 precincts in NYC a medium to busy Queens house and a very busy Brooklyn house. I have alot of respect for both jobs but unless you worked in the City you'll never know what its like. When you work in a minoirty area like lets say Wyndanch and then you work in Jamaica it is just different. I worked in both of these places and had quick back up in both. the cops in the 1st were great. an 85 domestic and you'd have 3 or 4 cars show up within minutes or even seconds. Same thing in the 113 on a 52FD. Both great jobs. Both great cops, but don't compare the savages on the Island to the savages in the City cause you can't and never can and if you haven't worked both job in busy houses/precincts in both you just can't/won't know or understand.

guy no offense but where do you get your facts from? The last time I looked the 6th had more calls utts and bodies per officer than any other pct. There are sectors busier then gordon hts call volume wise, and frankly the rest of coram selden, centereach and farmingville, have nearly as many perps as the hts do.
My take as a city cop, we have way more concentrated savavges running around in a smaller area, but we got more backup. I cant say I know the situation out in Suffolk, but there are gangs, and it seems many bank jobs, and at l a shooting/ stabbing a week. It is wrong that the cops out there, especially in high crime areas work alone. Really, its the suburbs, its not supposed to have crime, it sounds like its getting worse. For cops to say they've gotten 20+ felony arrest in a year in patrol, they've obviously worked.
I think thats the real point, forget where you work, or how bad it is, its what you do. If you are scpd working Hauppage or Deer park with 20 shoplifters under your belt, or a nypd working in a badass house in the city with less than 20 bodies, mostly domestics and 511 collars, keep quiet. You might be working near someone who is doing it, but you arent. If theres a suffolk cop with all the arrests people are posting here, he'd probably do just fine in the city, and vice versa. But bng in proximity to the action doesnt mean diddly its what you do.
Getting back to the original post, the word is the anti crime unit will be under going some overhaul. No more multi pct units, it will be broken down to have pct cops handling thr own pct, this way before someone gets mouthy when they are doing a cameo appearance, they will think twice. They will realize when they are back in patrol, they will be facing the people who they've pissed off.
Additionally by working your own area, you'll be more familiar with the problem areas and skells. Better quality arrests.
IS SUFFOLK COUNTY ANTI CRIME RUNNING AROUND TAKING GUNS OFF THE STREET?I READ MY BLOTTER EVERY WEEK AND I HAVENT SEEN THAT AT ALL....I HAVE SEEN GARBAGE 511 COLLARS AND NONSENSE DOMESTICS....BUT NOBODY SEEMS TO BE GRABBING STEEL!!!!!WHO IS TAKING THE RATCHETS OFF THE STREETS?

To answer your question, about the time you were busy writing this, they were taking another guy off the street.
i doubt that one gun collar was made last night in the whole county

Funny in the past week the 6th pct PATROL was responsible for 3 gun collars.
1 was a robbery, 1 was a menacing(shots fired inthe air in a crowded party) 1 was a simple crim posession) maybe the anti crime should spend less time processing thr 511.1 arrests and more time on the street....or maybe they arent cut out for this.

That's great 3 gun collars!
Now if 6th patrol could just start responding to Officers in need of help.
Even if they are new, or A--holes, or not from that command, wouldn't that be really great.

oh you mean officer in need of help because they dont carry any paper work, and they need someone to"clean up" the call?
Sounds like you are jealous, hey 14 511.1 0 on 0 arrests are kind of equivalent of a gun collar....if not that crack pipe collar can net you cop of the month with a li'l creative writing...aint that your dream?

A QUESTION FOR ANY SCPD PATROL COP:
I see that you fellows are proud of your record for backing up each other. But I noticed in the above post it concerned itself pretty much with calls that can turn violent.
Wondering what the general policy is on back up on a 10-72. What makes a cop get called to back up another single? What makes the dispatcher to send two cars? I know it is policy to send only one car. Fact is the PD is thinking about not sending any cars in some situations.
So what makes a guy go and do a back up? Throw out that maybe it's a hottie you want to back into. Or you have some chit chat with the cop. Or you are just passing by anyway. That kind of stuff.
In short, what would make you say to yourself maybe I should back this guy/gal up even though no back up had been requested and it only looks routine to the majority?
Thanks, I appreciate the Input.

That's great 3 gun collars!
Now if 6th patrol could just start responding to Officers in need of help.
Even if they are new, or A--holes, or not from that command, wouldn't that be really great.
wow someone sounds like a insecure jealous anti-crimer

gotta burn them up, trying to be superstars and turning up jokes of the job while the real cops who do patrol get the good grabs, just answering 911 calls.

I should stop telling everyone I'm a cop. I make coffee for the boss, do a prisoner transmittal, and order prisoner food. I'm so bored I make up rumors. My squad got beat up by one EDP in homestaed village, and I couldn't respond to help because I had to answer the phone. Please help!

Thank you for your reply. I am not SCPD, and I don't know what MIDS means.
I guess what I am trying to ask you is if you heard something on the radio and you thought the cop was missing something in the radio transmissions, what, if anything would prompt you to roll by and back up, or at l say something like 'be careful'?
What would jog your mind and take more decisive action on the scene if you took the call. What would make you think it was an active or past burglary other than the obvious, e.g., the window is broken, or the door is open, etc?
I know you guys would respond in a heartbeat if you even had a thought another cop was going in harm's way. With over a 100,000 false 10-72's a year I can see how a cop would be complacent, or not respond lights and sirens ( not to a burglary with sirens, of course) In other words you don't respond promptly and find a break and kick yourself in the ass later?

Hey maybe we could hang out. See I believed my boss when he said this was a great career opportunity, and I have more arrests then I could imagine, it kind of got to my head and now I'm on the skip list, that is they are going to skip over me when the interviews come. Little do i realize the damage having 2-3 pcts worht of lts and sgts thinking I'm arrogant and disrespectful every time i post here.
Oh well at l its handicap season, i'll make it up there, last year i wrote 300 utts for handicap parking, even to people who were born in 1920 that I know forgot to put the placard in the window.

hah 3 more then the entire anti crime unit put together, but they did get about 9 grams of pot off the streets, and every of thr 511 arrests posted 50.00 bail into the county coffers(we keep 3% handling fee) so 200 511.1 (0 on 0) at 50.00= 10,000 in bail equals 300 the county keeps, great jobs guys.

My significant other thinks I'm a cop, but i'm not. She is a successful secretary but gets to leave the building for lunch. The boss asked me to get him a cup of chili at Wendy's and I responded across RT25 with my lights and siren.. It felt really good..I'm I ready to go back out on patrol and act like a real cop.

Once a career you'll get a alarm that is for real on the day tour. On the midnites you take every alarm as legit.
It should be obvious by now I have something in mind when I asked you that question. I disagree that when you say on the midnights ( how dumb of me ) you take all alarms seriously. Maybe you do, but a lot of others don't.
Not to criticize you guys at all. I have listened to enough of your calls to tell me the alarms are NOT taken seriously by most. I have heard the dispatch say numerous times 'holding this for 1/2 hour, for an hour" I even heard one that said for 2HOURS. I have heard the cops pick up the calls and don't give it back for at l a half hour.
Again, I am not throwing any stones at you guys at all.
To get more to the point I am asking you if you get an alarm call with the alarm ringing and there is no alarm ringing and there is NO break, and nothing else out of the ordinary, then how do you handle it?
Thanks for your input. I will get to the point later when the time is right.
thanks

The reality is; the pd handles alarm calls as a courtesy to the alarm co. Alarm companies are paid to respond to alarms, police arent. There isnt a additional tax for us, that is if you have a alarm, you do not pay anything extra for our service. 90% of the time the company doesnt send a rep, unless we request one. Regular Alarms are a low priority call, there are other alarms that are priority, panic, hold up, fire, co2, etc these require immediate response.
During the day, alarms are handled accordingly, most of the time when the alarm co calls the house there is someone on premise with the wrong code. That is noted on the dispatch, sometimes its a motion detector set off by a pet, sometimes the doors are left open. Sometimes the homeowner simply was too slow shutting the door.
As far as overnite, alarms are handled seriously. Because there is a greater chance of a break. You might have a scanner and listen, but probably not at nite.
The County is currently evaluating how alarms are handled, and are beginning to weed out chronic alarms. Right now its only commercial alarms, but it will extend to private soon.

OK, now to the nitty gritty. By the way, I have to mention before I make my post and no harm or criticism intended: BUT DO YOU KNOW HOW SILLY you sound when you say the PD doesn't get paid to answer alarms???? It is only a courtesy? Maybe you didn't get your thoughts right and 'mispoke'. You seem like an intelligent person. You write well enough to convey your thoughts. And I am sure you didn't toss and turn the night writing your response and refining it. How can you say what you said? I ain't poking fun or taking a shot at you by any means.
The reason why I asked is that a Lieutenant of Police in the name of James "Ratman" Hickey testified that a police officer responded to a 10-72 and he should have ordered a : back up. a perimeter. requested dogs. considered calling avaition. and even shut the car off and put his ear to the door to listen for high end equipment bng used, e.g. drills.
He should have done all this simply because he took a 10-72 call that said there was an 'audible alarm' at a store. The alarm was silent. The dispatcher only said the rear door fire exits were involved. It was a little more than that when the alarm company called it in. It just didn't go over the air that way. There was no apparent break as the door was opened and closed. That is documented by the 'restore' code that was generated when the contacts are reengaged when the door is fully closed. There was no further entry into the store at that time as the lack of ANY other detectors, e.g. motion and safe sensors are going off. If the cop looked in the window he wouldn't have seen anything anyway.
The burglars ( whoever they are as it seems that the guy who testified wasn't there as he knew nothing of the sequence of events) came back a half hour later and at that time they entered the store. But that wasn't when the cop gave it an all clear.
The second time the break is made was at 1 33 02. The call didn't hit the air until 1 44 29. That is when another car, the same one who picked up the original call, picks it up and says he will handle it and advise. We then hear the cop who took the first call put it over the air that this is probably a false alarm and to disregard, or 'void it to the prior'. He then asks the HQ where is the alarm coming from this time. HQ says fire exits and produce. That is all we got. Fact is the alarm company said 'mulitiple zones' on the first and second occasion. That could mean almost anything, it may not mean multiple alarms per se.
Now if anyone with a brain in thr head would believe a cop who is sitting outside a store covering for his burglar friends and he HEARS another car take the call and he waits 9 MINUTES to call him off, then I say that person, or cop is a lunatic to think that. The fact is that the burglars know the jig is up when the 1 44 29 call comes in as they are in the process of exiting the store only 10 seconds later. They are not even there when the cop puts the call over to void to the prior at 1 53. He then waits for the manager to show up a few minutes later and enters the store to see the wires cut. He asks for backup, etc.,
The reason for the question is that the Lying Hickey knew there was no information out there to conclude this was more serious than another false alarm. Not only did the assigned car NOT show up, the lying Lieutenant didn't show up until after he heard the wires were cut. And nther did the 20+ odd cars working that evening think about showing up for back up when they heard the same radio transmissions that the cop who was accused of helping the burglars heard.
No shots taken at the cops who didn't show up. No shot at the cop who took the call and only showed up 20+ minutes later after he heard the wires were cut. He didn't bother to show up even after he heard there was now a silent hold up alarm. He just said thanks, I am going to take the other job ( 10-72) thats mine. When he heard the wire were cut he said I will be there in less than a minute.
Yeah, the cop should have known it was far more serious when at l 28 other cops didn't think so. And a brain dead lying POS named Hickey who was interviewed by a detective four months earlier and indicated in his notebook that Lt.Hickey HAD NO RECOLLECTION OF THE INCIDENT THAT NIGHT.
In parting. 3 SCPD PO's off duty and in civies decided to come to court one day to see for themselves. I believe at l two of them were 60-40 for guilty. All they were bng fed was the sh!thouse rumors given to them by the PD. They had the misfortune of showing up and bng recognized by Hiceky while he was lying his ass off as to what a police officer should do at a 10-72. He jumped them in the hallway and chewed thr asses out for bng there. The next day the PC ordered them to give him a written report as to why they went to court. Outrageous. And what is even more outrageous is that useless appendage on your paychecks, the PBA gave him the OK to do it.
OK, now to the nitty gritty. By the way, I have to mention before I make my post and no harm or criticism intended: BUT DO YOU KNOW HOW SILLY you sound when you say the PD doesn't get paid to answer alarms???? No I do not. imho alarms are the biggest waste of time in all of the job. The way it was in fact supposed to work, alarm to co, co sends a rep, rep responds to scene checks building or requests/waits for p.o. unless there are mitigating factors. Such as; person on scene of alarm screaming help..etc etc. 90% of the time when a break is observed, the alarm co still doesnt send a rep til the am. Somehow over the past 30 years it became the p.os job. It isnt.
I've gone to alarms out of my sector held over from the prior tour, just to claer up the calls, on arrival the 2 workers that set it off are indignant that it took a hour for pd to arrive, meanwhile the call clearly states 2 workers on scene wrong key pass. Yet they expect a immediate response.
What happens when you do not have a alarm, or we arrive after the break, ( most good burgs are finished within a few minutes especially when there are alarms invovled) we simply write it up. A normal alarm is a priority 3 call, that is the same as a meal for the p.o..Without extenuating circumstances it is gotten to when convienent to the dispatcher/p.o., this is the fault of the system. There are simply too many false alarms to treat them any other way. Most sectors have 4-5 chronic alarms that they will get every week. Not one cop responds to a simple alarm lites /sirens. In fact most are postponed until after other low priority calls.
I think it is a matter of time until the no repsond spreads to res alarms or like Nassau there is a fine assessed for unfounded alarms. Then you will see the # of false alarms drop dramatically.

Don't get sucked in by this guy. He's still carrying a torch for that disgraced former Suffolk PO, Ray Montefusco. He pops up occasionally fishing for info about how we do our jobs.
I'll go it one better, if I get a alarm that I know is a chronic. I do not respond, I advise dispatch it is a chronic unfounded call, I advise dispatch to advise the alarm company to notify a rep to respond.
Alarms are the biggest rip off, they cost the taxpayers almost 1/4- 1/2 hour of my pay for each one I respond to. Including the time it takes me to drive to and from it , to check the building, write it in my book. I'm not complaining it is part of my job, but someone should be. That is time taken away from me patrolling, I have a large nghborhood in my sector that is hit every day or so by a daytime burgular, when I'm not answering calls I like to spend my time in there patrolling, and interviewing people both suspects and non-suspects. By the way he doesnt hit houses w/alarms....So the 4-5 alarms a day that are simply careless homeowners are cutting into my job.
Ray-Ray was a baaaaaad boy. Your son-in-law got what he deserved. Extinguish your torch and go find a worthwhile cause. I wouldn't want anyone to think I am hiding under assumed screen names. I had the person you suggest I am. I just add a number to get on the board. I throw anything down.
Look at the evidence. Ask why they were putting out bullspit they had photographs, phone connections, a lost police radio, and all that crap.
Ray's problems are his own as far as the case goes. No, buddy, I have said it before and I say it again and again. I want the real criminals to go to jail for what they did. And I don't mean the four witnesses. I mean the DA squad and thr commanding officer who ran this case.
Many comments have been made about Ray's buddies doing burglaries. Hey, AH, in case you haven't read my posts I told you who the main witnesses nghbor was for four years. How come he isn't bng charged with a crime?
How come this miscreant was given a free pass out of jail when he was still a murder suspect? Who got what, how much, and why?
One question one poster asked on another Board was how did the burglars know the cop was working that night after five years. Yes, how did they know? I tried to figure that one out and thought I had a few good ideas. That is how naive I remained. Then it suddenly occurred to me that the detectives fed it to him beyond any doubt. You can't tell a false story on step by steps if you aren't given the information from a source that knew , or thought they knew how a crime occurred. The azzholes who call themselves detectives, but are better frame artists with dummies for jurors never did thr job and got all the facts.
Buddy, I don't wish you any bad luck. I only wish if you are a cop something like this happens to you. Never say never.
The central part of my question to the guy who was nice enough to answer ( and I knew the answer already ) is what makes a cop go in another direction at a 10 72. Why should he think there is a burglary when up to 28 cops didn't think so. Including the K-9 cop who must monitor the radio so she could take Lassie out for some roadwork. This is her job and she seems eager to do it. Why doesn't she chime in until she hears it's a confirmed burglary.
Get your story and facts straight first. Try only a little harder than the jury and maybe you may turn out to be a decent person.
Look at the evidence I have written about extensively. It is all there. It is supported by irrefutable factual evidence.
Listen, I don't give a crap if you believe me or not. I am just spreading the word and hoping it catches on and someone finally does something about that cesspool of a very few cops who stink up the whole pool - the DA's office.
Something may be coming out very soon on another matter that will make the corrupt look like the fools they are. And things are going to be rocking in Suffolk County. It probably is already. I'm just hoping it goes the way I think it will go and the poop hits the fan.

First of all I am not hiding behind a screen name. That is obvious as you figured it out for yourself. If you would like to know my other screen names on other Boards I would be happy to provide them to you. Don’t worry, your pals in the DA’s office know them. Maybe you are one of them yourself.
All I was trying to was to get an honest answer without having an issue attached to it. It really was unnecessary as I knew the answer anyway. That Poster pretty much summed it up as to how alarms are treated in Suffolk County. Whatever the issues of right and wrong are is left for another time and another discussion.
What he confirmed is that it appears as though the baaaaaaad cop had no reason to suspect a burglary was in progress simply by the radio transmissions given out by dispatch. I knew that information as well. So did those three off duty police officers know that too when they heard the Lying Lieutenant give his corrupted testimony at the trial. Now that is what you would call a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD cop.
The three cops heard him lie. I believe they came into the courtroom dead even on guilt or innocence. All they were hearing was a lot of trash talk bng circulated by people such as you that they had the cop dead to rights. It was all a lie.
The three cops were accosted by The Lying Lieutenant in the hallway for bng in the courtroom. He stayed true to his name: RATMAN, and had Dickie The Dunce Dormer order them to write a letter of explanation to him as to why they were in a courtroom exercising thr rights to witness a trial in progress. What is even worse, if true is DDD called the PBA and asked them if it was OK for him to do it.
They wanted to make sure these cops weren’t going to back into the field and tell everyone that the cop was bng railroaded.
Peter Hamill, a liberal writer once labeled us in the NYPD as “The Blue Mice.” It was funny if you could take a joke. He could call you guys “The Blue Rats”. You already have one called RATMAN in your ranks.
What did you guys hear exactly in the streets? Did you hear the cop was working the night of King Kullen when he burglar friends signed him up to be a lookout? Wow, how could the Liar Careccia know this to tell if he wasn’t there? The truth of the matter probably is that Careccia wasn’t there himself. He didn’t have a clue as to what happened that early morning five years earlier. He didn’t know what time he broke in. He didn’t know the cop was writing a ticket at the time the door was opened and closed, and without entry. He just knew what THE LYING DETECTIVES TOLD HIM!!!. They never bothered to get all of the evidence. Why bother with the truth when you are building your stories around a lie?
Who was going around telling you they had pictures of Ray moving the loot? Who told you he knew the burglars? One of the ‘burglars’ he did know. I put it in quotes because the ‘burglar’ wasn’t indicted although he was mentioned in the testimony, the grand jury, and the trial. So who did he know?
The Liar Careccia never said anything on the stand that would lead you to think he had any kind of a social relationship with the cop. He just said he saw him here and he saw him there. Saw him with TN. Fact he said he NEVER spoke to him without TN bng present.
They never had two of thr witnesses make a run by Ray to get something, anything on a tape that would convince them they were going after the right guy. This is what they do in the DA’s office, isn’t it? Just in case you didn’t notice they have been locking people up for just that. They had ONE YEAR to make a phone call or a chance meeting. They did nther.
They didn’t even attach ONE phone call or communication between the LIARS, because there were none.
All you probably heard was that the was the rat who gave up his buddy the cop who went to jail for selling coke, etc., Another tragedy. He took the guy’s gal and he wanted to get rid of him. Right? Wrong!
They didn’t tell you that I personally went to the PBA very early 2002, or very late 2001, and gave them evidence that the cop was on a road to self destruction. I pleaded with them to bring him in before he destroyed himself completely. I told them he had an IA case on him and he was going DOWN.
The PBA apparently did squat because the kid went DOWN nine months later in September 2002. He went down after I gave his union reps who were supposed to be looking out for him, and when the kid had not yet arranged for cocaine to two NYC undercovers. I warned them before the wiretaps were set in place in late May 2002. They had plenty of time and DID nothing.
Sure the kid was screwed up and he needed help. But it wasn’t because of a lost love, it was because he was heavily invested with his and his parents money with a thief known to …….those detectives in the DA’s office. He not only saw his dreams of Hollywood and bng a movie star with all the riches, he saw his falling into financial ruins because he was an idiot who never listened to the advice he got that this guy Walker is going to destroy him.
When the kid got dumped it was natural to think that Ray did it. Truth is the family thought I DID IT!!! I went to the PBA instead of going to them with the information I had. I was told going to the PBA was like going to the police department. Maybe his mom was right. I just did the best I could with the facts I knew: The kid was in serious trouble.
And what did the kid’s buddies do when they found out thr best friend was in trouble? Spota knew this when DDD told him so. I expect it was in May. That is when the phone calls weren’t bng returned anymore from his pals in the DA office. That is when they started looking shaky.
No, my friend, it wasn’t my son in law who put a hood over his head and went into a grand jury to give testimony on his friends. And from this rat bastard’s track record I would say he lied then as he did in this case. It wasn’t my son in law who broke into a prostitute’s house to retrieve his gun he left there. Ask for his IA record and see if he has a burglary IA case. It wasn’t my son in law who lived down the block from Careccia. And it wasn’t my son in law who came to Careccia’s house and gave him information about a car used in a failed assassination attempt earlier that day.
Oh, he scammed the system. Now it’s a crime for a cop to ‘scam’ the system for ¾’s. Give me a break. PS, I didn’t do it. I went out on a regular pension. I was just too lazy to try, not because of my high moral character.
Whatever ‘scam’ he did he did it well. Got a plate in his arm. I guess you could call him a Method Actor.
Looking for sympathy? Certainly not from the likes of you.
He is going to deal with this in the courts. I will deal with it because I have been indirectly injured myself. I will at l make the effort to expose those lying and corrupt sons of bitches you call great cops once and for all.
Nice guys. They even tried to get his pension stopped before he was convicted. They called SS to see if he was getting SSI while he was working after retirement. The called Workman’s Comp to stir up some crap there. And they killed two birds because the guy they called is the father of one of the young gals who was at the Jiffy Lube. She knew the alarm didn’t begin ringing until AFTER the burglars left the building. It made it impossible for a passerby to see anyone in the store with the alarm ringing. The girls made the call to a friend and the rest was done AFTER the fact, not during the fact. Gotta whip her into shape.
I have to tell you something my friend. Every time I see a SCPD cop car or guy in uniform I get a little sick to my stomach. What bothers me more is that MOST of the guys and gals in the JOB are decent people who go out and slug away day in and day out. They are typical cops doing typical things, e.g., working conditions, lack of support, etc., but they do thr work as best they can. And I have to feel this way when I see the many decent ones out there.
All because there are a small band of criminals called the Major Case Bureau in the DA office. Not all of them, just some of the ‘trusted’ ones who can do dirty work when the need arises.
Wise up.
First of all I am not hiding behind a screen name. That is obvious as you figured it out for yourself. If you would like to know my other screen names on other Boards I would be happy to provide them to you. Don’t worry, your pals in the DA’s office know them. Maybe you are one of them yourself.

OK, I'll bite. You have this ELABORATE conspiracy all laid out. Many people and agencies involved. You have forgotten one small detail. Why? Why was Ray so special, or important? Why did they go to such great effort to frame HIM? Why wasn't it someone else? Did someone just wake up one day and decide to put an elaborate case together against Ray because he had nothing else to do? Ill be waiting on the edge of my seat for your answer.
Keep up your "they were innocent kids" crap. Everyone else in the Dept. - you know, the ones that just take pride in doing thr jobs and aren't looking to be movie stars, and don't hang-out w/ people they shouldn't - are happy that the "innocent kids" took a fall, and didn't get away with thr scams. If, as you say, the D.A.'s office, the Police Commissioner, the Chief of Detectives, the PBA, and the Major Case squad are responsible for making that happen, then here's thanks for a job well done.

Innocent kids bng movie stars hanging out with people they shouldn't be. Well the 'innocent kid' who wanted to be a movie star hung out with the likes of now Inspector James Burke, Det/Sgt David Tricamo, and I guess you can say now District Attorney Thomas J. Spota.
Everybody who knows them knows what I have just said it true. They hung out with Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. I guess they like her music.
I don't call the kid with the cocaine innocent. He did do what he did without question. The question is how did he get there. The kid isn't a dope dealer. He didn't even have the stuff to be a cop much less a drug dealer.
At best he used cocaine. That what was filtering back to me from sources. He wasn't a bad kid at all. He was just screwed up beyond belief. I called him Walter Mitty.
I will never condone a cop taking cocaine. I don't condone steroids ther as it is against the law now. But the SCPD didn't give a hoot about cops taking steroids because they didn't test for it.
If you are a regular reader of this board you would have seen postings alleging that a ranking member of the PBA got caught with the steroids in his body and nothing happened to him.
Cocaine use. It is my understanding that in SCPD if you have a drug problem and go to them for help that you will get one chance to make amends. That was what I was trying to give to the kid I mentioned. You know who he is - the pal of Burke and Tricamo.
That Burke fellow is an interesting fellow. He seems to be around a Danny Culotta, but not around him when he did his burglaries more than 25 years ago. He was around a Quatararo brother when that person decided to confess to killing John Pius. And I hear he was last seen entering a grand jury with a hood on his head. He hung out with that cop I am talking about, but not while the kid was doing burglarys as alleged by Robert Walker. He was around with him all the times, but not when the kid did coke.
He was around another burglar known as Joseph Careccia on the same block. He had a nghbor ( or was it him ) that came to Careccia's door and told him details about the car used in the failed attempt. He was around to supervise the investigation of my son in law and he just happened to be around Careccia at the time.
He seems to be a real Jimmy on The Spot when you most need him.
The answers as to WHY they did it, to frame an innocent man are many different reasons that all came together.
I am told they actually had a sit down to pick a cop to prosecute and show the public that Tommy can be tough on cops. They had 10 folders and weeded one out after another. People who came to thr attention for one reason of another. Too bad they didn't pick Hickey and Burke's folders out for scrutiny. They landed on Ray. And I am told that they was jubilation in the room. They actually did high fives.
Now I have to tell you that I have no way to confirm the truth on this very improbable story. All I can tell you my source has been right on most instances. So I don't put it out there for you, or you, or you. I put it out there for THEM, and if it is true they have to start thinking how the hell do I know this.
What I do know beyond ANY doubt is that the cop who was charged and convicted of the three burglaries DIDN'T DO IT!
If you have read my stuff on other Boards, and maybe this one as well you would have seen me say that I thought he was guilty, or partially guilty for at l 3-4 months. I always believed it to be a frame, but a frame of a guilty man where the cops went a little too far to create evidence.
If you were to tell me I have a thousand posts on this subject I couldn't say you were wrong. I have outlined detail after detail after detail. All I got back and ALL I EVER got back was garbage from the peanut gallery.
all I get back is hypos on why would they do this, I mean the detectives? Because they can.
NO ONE HAS EVER DISPUTED THE EVIDENCE AT THE TRIAL, OR AT L THE STATEMENTS I HAVE MADE ON THE VARIOUS BOARDS. NOT ONCE!
Do you want to know why? Because they can't. All they can say is he was a bad cop. He used his hands too much. He is bng paid back for his past. All Bullspit, and nothing else.
I put up at l 42 instances that should have caused a not guilty verdict.
THE ONLY EVIDENCE IF YOU WANT TO CALL IT EVIDENCE IS THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO connect the most notorious burglar/informant/murder suspect to the cop in a very small and insignificant way.
I would love to see one of you humps have to go to trial and have four of the biggest scumbags giving false testimony on you.
TRUST ME, I need nothing from you. What you DO provide to me is the energy to get back on the Board and put the names of the real criminals out there. Sooner or later someone is going to ask what the hell is this really all about.

JUST LIKE SAID BULLSH!!T REPLY WHEN ALL I AM ASKING FOR IS FACTS. NOW I AM SMOKING CRACK. READ IT AND YOU DECIDE IF SOMETHING DOESN'T STINK I have posted tens of thousands of words concerning this matter. I haven’t been shy in making accusations about some very well placed people in the SCPD. Let them take thr best shot at me. They really don’t need to as they have one this battle convincingly.
Even had they lost the case outright they would have won what they wanted to do to my son in law, and that was to punish him for whatever reason they thought they had to punish him.
It is very clear to me that they knew beyond any doubt that he was innocent of these crimes they charged him with. They told him as much when the failed to prosecute him when Joseph Careccia told the detectives on November 13, 2003 that the cop helped them as a lookout in the Jiffy Lube burglary on 7/30/00. Joseph Careccia also told them that he did the Strathmore Robbery on 7/25/00. The son in law was in Spain at the time. Why didn’t the district attorney indict him for that crime? He was bng set up for such a prosecution as a note in a detective’s notebook said, “RM and TN were in the parking lot monitoring a police radio”.
What the detectives and the district attorney did was to gather up as many unsolved crimes and fit him into each one of them. They didn’t do a very good job with that one and covered it up when they found he was out of the U.S. during that crime.
They had information that a then active police officer was engaged in a serious felony and did nothing until months after he retired on March 15, 2004. They didn’t come to him, and for the first time until August 10, 2004 when Lewis and Doyle told him that Spota sent them there personally to speak to him. They told him that Spota didn’t want him, they wanted his friend TN. And what was TN’s crime? He refused to take two violations from what started as a felony and three misdemeanors. Then he wrote a letter to the SIC on how he was treated by the DA and police department.
The writing of the letter was the “Felony’ he was to have committed against a DA who had already been severely criticized by the SIC in 1989.
They told him if he didn’t come in it would be him and not his friend. So much for rooting out corrupt cops in the SCPD. They were going to allow this ‘corrupt’ cop to go free for the very serious crimes they were about to charge him with.
I have enumerated many instances of corrupted testimony in many of my posts and I have yet to get even ONE reply countering those charges. All I get is things like: Take care of your own family. The guy has gotten over on you. Why would they want to frame him? He is a bad cop, a schemer and a scammer. He was taking steroids. What the hell does that have to do with the questions I have posed hundreds of times? I have yet to get an ANSWER from any of the detractors.
I have told you how three off duty cops simply came into the court to see if another cop actually disgraced thr profession. And that is what they came for. I know, they told me as much. I have told you about a Sergeant who was issued a subpoena by us to recount the radio transmissions he was involved in on 11/8/99 at 12:56AM. He was allowed to be crucified in bad faith by the district attorney. He offered NO independent evidence to support the cop other than to say he recognized his voice on the tape and had no reason to believe it was other than what it appeared to be: Backing up a cop who requested his assistance. That fellow had now been transferred out of the Marine Unit.
I have told you how the alarm reports clearly tell you that what the witness Careccia said on how and when the entry into the King Kullen happened is nothing but a lie and so proven by irrefutable evidence. What is your reply? Nothing.
I asked you how any sane man, no less a police officer would hear a car on his way to the scene when the second call came in and he waited a second less than 9 minutes to call the car off. No cop that I have spoken to, or any intelligent human bng not in law enforcement doesn’t laugh when they hear that one. What do you have to say about that one? Let us hear it from the cops who look in on the Board to comment on that one.
I asked you why an experienced detective with 25 years in the PD would have information that the summons was actually written at around 12:50AM, and not as thr lying witness said it was at about 12:15 and he did NOTHING TO verify this information he was given was at the very l mistaken.
I asked you to tell me how a motorist who has recved a score of tickets in his short miserable lifetime could remember precisely the exact time he recved the summons. No answer. But the detective knew that was a question that needed to be answered so he suggested to the motorist that if he had something to reference it too, then it may make sense. The motorist said he left his job at around midnight each night and went to the Taco Bell on a frequent basis to buy a burrito. I asked you why the detective never bothered to corroborate that information by at l make an attempt to interview the employer. I told you that the place had been burned down for four years when the detective spoke to the motorist. I told you I FOUND THAT WITNESS only 10 minutes after I read the grand jury account of the motorist given to us at the 11th. Hour of this case. The employer said the motorist is a liar!!! He didn’t leave at midnight because he closes at 930PM, and he didn’t work on that Sunday as the store has ALWAYS BEEN CLOSED ON A SUNDAY, AND STILL IS TO THIS DAY AT THE NEW LOCATION RIGHT ACROSSS THE STREET FROM THE TACO BELL.
What did I get? I got more nonsense from the detractors who take great joy in another man bng arrested.
I asked you why didn’t this experienced detective call in the sergeant and ask him questions about that call he recved to back up the cop? What did I get from you? More bullspit showing your bias against another cop that you thought deserved this no matter if he did it or not.
I told you about the 911 call for the Jiffy Lube that evening made no sense at all. That is was impossible for the person who made that call to have actually seen it in the manner he said it did. It is black and white. A 6 year old child could figure it out with a paper and a pencil.
I told you that there was TWO alarms together the night of the Jiffy Lube right next to each other. One was at Jiffy Lube and the other was right next door at the Harbor Collision. I guess Mr.Timmons would write that off to a coincidence. They caught the guy who took a truck from Harbor down the road a bit. He had nothing in the truck. But the burglar(s) weren’t in the Jiffy Lube long enough to remove oil that could have been put on a truck.
I tried to interview that fellow, and needless to say he didn’t return my calls. Not the l bit curious. And nther is the owner of Harbor interested in calling. But he has his own problems with the DA, or at l he had some problems that probably went away. Any theories on that other than your usual dismissive remarks?
I told you about Careccia putting another guy in the King Kullen while that guy was in jail. No comment?
I told you how two out of three persons said to be at the Parsnip’s burglary never said RM was there. One did. The jury believed that fellow and didn’t believe the other two. They believed them when it suited them, though, i.e., Jiffy Lube and King Kullen. The guy they believe is a certified police informant who wore a wire in a drug case in Nassau County with no problem. Why didn’t they wire him up to speak to RM? It would have been case closed if they done that and the cop was guilty, or indicated guilty knowledge. Again, I recved no comment.
I also asked you how a Joe Careccia could be brought back to NY from Florida for a burglary case and the murder of Peter Ghattas can suddenly come up with the name of a cop. How he didn’t think it would get him out of a jail sentence when he went to jail in 2002, and didn’t think it necessary to give up a cop then when the events should have been more fresh in his mind. I asked you how odd it was that his nghbor came to him and gave him what was police information, and that his nghbor was Burke. And here is Careccia and Burke again on the same page with another situation. And Careccia takes a walk. And he is probably still a suspect in the homicide case.
Grant me one thing. That is I know this case far better than you know it. I know it backwards and forwards, and I still don’t know it all. But I sure know it better than you. All you get is washwomen who have nothing to do than to suck up the bulls!t fed to them by corrupt police officers.
MORE BULLSH!!T WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY.

IT WASN'T ME WHO HAS BEEN GOING AROUND SAYING PEOPLE WERE SMOKING CRACK OR SNORTING. HOW ABOUT THAT OTHER INSPECTOR WHO WAS ASKED TO LEAVE AFTER HE GOT CAUGHT THE SECOND TIME WITH COKE IN HIS BODY? AND WHOSE BUDDY WAS HE?
THE WORST THING YOU TOOK FROM US AND NEVER LET GO IS THE IRISH MAFIA IN THE PD. YOU ARE 40 YEARS BEHIND THE TIMES AND ARE DESTINED TO REMAIN THERE FOR AN ETERNITY UNLESS SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING ABOUT IT SOON.
There is a new movie out that is pretty good. It is called "Departed' with Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, and Sean Penn. It is about the Massachusetts State Police where a young kid (Damon) is recruited by the Irish Mob Boss Nicholson to become a trooper when he gets older to be a source of information. Nicholson had Damon, and Tommy has Jimmy. Jimmy got recruited when he was a teen too. He proved he 'could work well with them'

LIKE I SAID WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING CONCRETE TO OFFER YOU REVERT TO RIDICULE.
Where do you think this stuff comes from? It doesn't come from the son in law, he didn't even know the guy, only of him. He hung out with a better class of people.
When Joey goes down, and he will, lets just see who his new victims are. He already knows the value of giving up cops. What do you think a top cop is worth?

I wanted to thank you for taking the time and caring about my health. It is very important for me to keep up my meds. From a guy who never took an aspirin I am now up to 8 pills a day. Getting old is a bitch.
I did a job out your way about a year ago and stopped off at the Strathmore for a chat. I shouldn't have because I left the house very early in the AM and didn't take my meds first, or the blood pressure pill.
What the owner Freddy told me about the robbery you guys almost charged my guy with in that it wasn't as your new buddies told you how it happened -- or I should say how YOU told THEM how it happened, my BP went sky high and may have caused a TIA.
I did mention that at IA as I was pretty hyped up and felt uneasy as I have never been a rat bastard like you guys who gives up cops. And I surely never framed anyone.
But thanks for caring. I appreciate the thought.

The next a/c unit will feature different personnel, more veteran p.o.s probalby from cope/ccu/gang unit, you idiots blew it for us in patrol, tnx.

I'm saying they never complained to the big bosses, and if they did shame on them, they didn't learn anything with all thr time on. But most likely they never complained as much as you guys make it out to be. We hope squad bosses like to keep things from the Pct boss, and the PBA is on board with this and should be. Nothing this little should get blown up like this.

Whats your point? That because they are still patrol supervisors they have no hooks? Surely you must be out of the last class. I can tell you without ever talking to ther of them, when you are around that long, whether pushing a car, riding the desk, or bng a boss, yes even "only" a patrol boss, you know 3/4s of the brass at the puzzle palace. You have a lt or sgt with 30 years come and tell you about legit gripe with a p.o. they will listen.

You are showing your badge #. For starters, as any cop with 2 years on knows, when a special patrol or unit is started, the pct bosses meet with hq and discuss how best to utilize it, in other words in this case where could anti crime be the most successful. After the unit is done in that area, or in this case disbanded, they again meet and debrief the successes and failures of the unit. Do you think no one said a word about what in fact occurred? Not only did the pct supervisors discuss it, hq were there as well.
The pba? Since when does the pba have a say in a situation like this? Newsflash, sgts and above are in the SOA.

DEAR ABBEY, I tried to compete with the Anti-Crime officers and I lost. I made 141 pots of coffee for my bosses and they made 200 arrests, but this is not why I'm writing to you. I get off duty at 0700 and I observed that, my significant other, had purchased an Automatic Coffee Enhancer A.K.A .."ACE"... This machine automatically brews a great smelling pot of coffee every morning at 0700. I also recovered a vibrator in the nightstand in the bedroom. Is she trying to replace me?
DEAR ABBEY; I tried so hard, this was my big break I thought if I put up "COPE type#s" I'd be seen as the superior cop I thought I was, now I'm back on the 45 run, and told to hit the malls for handicap parkers. My C.o. doesnt crack jokes for me to laff at anymore,( he used to love when I kissed up to him) my sgt hasnt asked to sign my book in weeks.I've tried calling Sgt K about this he doesnt return my calls. I didnt realize how badly pissing off the wrong people...that is cops who are collecting longevity checks...could so negativley affect my future in scpd. Now despite my hard work( 43 agg unlicensed arrests) I'm hearing that I'll be passed up for the next crime unit, gasp for guys with even higher # tins then me....10,000

I killed a cat once. Held it's head down in a bucket of my own urine till it screamed uncle. Then I took her out and threw her under the wheels of a semi - Old Phantom 409 we called it. Some folks say that old semi was a ghost really - driven by a man named Kropp, Geln Kropp I think I heard folks say.
Anyhows, damn cat make one hell of a racket as it went round and round that old semi's axle. Irritated the livin' hell out of me so I took her over and flipped her across the desk over at that new Sixth Precinct there in Selden.
Some fat bastard sleepin on the desk woke up just as that ugly feline was crossin' over into hostile territory, took out his throw down gun and shot her right out of the air. Dead. Son-of-a-bitch said it was my fault cat was dead and to get the F#@& out of his house.
Guess I did kill that cat, but that's one hell of a way they treat folks over at that Sixth Precinct, what with cussin' at me and all? And I aint forgettin about it is alls I'm sayin'.
If they did nothing then I think they'd stop posting here. The whole stupid thing is over, why would they continue to defend/attack other cops.
I think theres some kind of truth to it, otherwise they wouldnt care. It is also wrong to attack senior guys for working the desk. I'd love to see where you end up in 16 or so years
