View Full Version : Newsday Whitewashed Langberg Complaints

Mini Me is Guilty
10-20-2006, 10:56 AM
Newsday had spoken to several other BOE employees who verified everything Kevin Langberg accused J_Lines of doing while BOE commissioner. It has become appartent that political abuses will be ignored by the DA's office, Newsday, and even the courts in Nassau County.

Kevin take your case to court and call J_Lines to the stand and expose him for what he is: A two-bit political thug.

Open message to Kevin:

Don't take this lying down. You have the power to protect yourself. File a civil rights action under 42 U.S.C. 1983 for violation of your rights to equal protection, among others. The DA can't go after you to retaliate for objecting to the others doing political work on county time. Nor can she go after you while letting the others slide. Find an attorney who has a brain and knows about this stuff, and your case will be a slam dunk. Check out the guy who buried Suozzi last time in federal court, Campanelli.

oh stop it already

When has Kathleen Rice EVER violated anyone's civil rights?

Kevin..do what u need to do. but we know youre an idiot

Newsday Wrote that Bonnie Garone investigated Kevin's complaints but found them to be false.

But J_Lines filed an affadavit in court stating he had no knoweldge of Kevin's complaints filed with her office?

How do you investigate someone without him knowing about it Bonnie?

Come on Newsday why not a word about this conflict in thr stories???

The Suozzi administration protection team is still doing its job in the Newsday editorial room.

filing a complaint with Bonnie Garone was such a wasted of time. She would never seriously investigate anything against Tom Suozzi or Jay jacobs.

Going Going Garrone

Is it all posible that in the many years this woman has been Nassau's investigative arm, that she has never found one instance of wrongdoing within the administration, not one? It is so disgustingly apparent that the pettty stuff reaches the watermarks of high profile investigations in Newsday and the DA's office yet major larceny at taxpayors expense by the Suozzi administration goes totally unchallenged.

Bonnie Garrone's office is woefully understaffed and underfunded. In that respect, she is set up to fail from jump. Garrone is at best a pro forma investigator, and let us not forget that that the so called Nassau Commissioner of Investigations is actually "the Commissioner of Accounts," a job title which was re-branded because it had come under fire because of the idiots who held the post in the past.

The Commissioner of Accounts post is traditionally a hack position, and Bonnie Garrone compares favorably to such luminaries as J. Leonard Samansky (who was dubbed by Newsday as "the poster child for political patronage"), Tom Gulotta's Commisioner of Accounts, and the notorious Craig "I live in my Office" Love.

Ms. Garrone is actually a decent person and capable attorney, but she is in a position where she is a captive of the Administration, and set up to fail from jump. In addition, she is outranked by Deputy County Executive Williams, who as the DCE for Compliance, performs many of the functions which Ms. Garrone is supposed to handle. Arguably, the Investigations/Compliance overlap is another example of Suozzi's overlayed political management, or rather mismanagement of the County. One of the biggest ironies in Nassau Government is that you have at l a half a dozen six figure political appointees looking at the same functions, yet very few people actually do any work, and somehow none of the bad guys are apprehended, unless they are people who fell out of favor politically, like it appears Mr. Langberg may have.

all about the money

kevin used to make nice change (say $75k) at the BOe + his 5k at the water authority in Plainview.

isnt he making 1/3rd less nowadays?

what are you tryin to say
10-22-2006, 12:10 PM
Are you saying that Langberg betrayed his fellow Democrats, joined the GOP, became a DINO ("Democrat in Name Only") and LOST money on the deal? No wonder why Lew Yevoli couldnt get himself elected County Executive. He supposedly negotiated that deal for Langberg and couldn't get top dollar.

Your points are well taken, yet here's the rub. She was given a complaint of drug use in the work place and misuse of power by the boss a Commissionor. But Ms. Garrone doesnt say I am understaffed and can't investigate, she says my investigation showed no wrongdoing. She didn't even question the person(JS) who the complaint was brought up against. And under oath that person actually said he had never been questioned by Ms.Garrone. Garrone took the job, takes the money and does nothing. In our world that is a hack supreme and that's all she is.

[quote="Ms. Garrone is actually a decent person and capable attorney,

I agree. Bonnie is OK - she could probably use a lesson or two in social graces but otherwise, very decent. At l she does not leave a body count in her wake of ambition like many of the other political lawyer hacks employed by the Suozzi administration. Look what Watkins over at HHS did to R Boland

her job is to be independent and to investigate matters brought to her attention. She has failed in both regards. Her investigations are more to bring the matters to the attention of the powers that be so they can solve the problems before they become a big mess. Anyone that actually files a serious complaint will be left out in the cold. She may be a decent person, but she is just a tool of the Suozzi administration.

Your assuming that the person did not lie under oath. He knew very well about the complaints because they went through Ray Garafola's time sheets at the BOE as a result of it. To say he was not informed or questioned seems unbelieveable.

He knew of the complains and was willing to allow Ray to take the fall. Thats a fact something Newsday knew about and did not write. I just hope a judge will allow Kevin to raise the set-up issue at trial and call Mr. Slime to testify.
