In an interview with a French magazine in 1999,Bush admitted that he could not spell Cuba, England, Afghanistan, Wales, Mali, Liberia, Ceylon, Indonesia, China, Cambodia, Spain, Nepal or Belize. When asked by the reporter what country he could spell, Bush replied "usa wherever that is."
