I can't wait for the mall to be built. I find it comical how certain civic groups don't want it because of the traffic. I guess they liked it better when they lived next to a superfund site. Now they say Canon might move in. No traffic w/ that??The only problem is that it is not their property and not their call. Grow up coalition-nobody cares except you!! TOB could use the tax revenue and most traffic would empty right on to the LIE. Move on to your next cause!!

and just what street do you live on fella??? do you think we need another mall?? do you find yourself short on stores to shop at?LOOOOOSER.

Bottom line, the mall will go in after all the hot air. Some guy, I think his name is Chirch thinks he is a big shot because he is leading the fight. He bought next to a toxic waste site but an upscale mall on the same property is no good???? Move if you don't like it. No one will miss you!!! I live in Jericho and I am for it!!

Bring in the high end stores!!!

If the mall gets built, then Newsday wins out.

08-19-2006, 01:25 AM
Why Newsday?? The site is perfect for a mall!! Flat and right next to the LIE. The Syosset/Woodbury civic groups think they are in charge and they are not!!! TOB needs the $$$$ revenue!!

How about an animal park featuring outed corporate criminals, deposed political figures and Female union smarms.

Newsday wins because they have the same owners as the proposed mall.

that road doesnt need any more traffic. It is a nice quiet neighborhood great to raise a family in. Im sorry, but all the mexicans can continue to ride their bikes to the broadway mall. Those new apartment complexes being built on jericho on both sides of robins lane are too much as it is. Has nobody else noticed the gridlock on jericho tpke EVERYDAY between 330 and 530. This isnt queens!!!! Not to mention eveyone moving into these places are all pretentious yuppies

The LAST thing we would NEED on Long Island is another mall......

Can you believe someone would even....think that was a good idea. I guess it shows you how OUT of touch anyone in land development or economic development or any kind of development..........is.

Residents NEED good quality of life. That's what we NEED..........We need all the stupid folks that want our money for their own gain.....to get lost.

All anyone wants out of life is peace, to have their bills paid & if they CHOOSE to have children.....have their children grow up safe, with the opportunity to become good citizens & stewards of this Earth.......Geeeez.....why would we ever NEED another mall?

Now, a Living Museum Center, with full exposure to cultural activities.....that's what we NEED. Good quality of life to pursue the spirit within each of us.
Reading literature, writing literature, music, dance, artistic endeavors such as drawing, painting, sculpting.......now you're talking.

We can make this happen if we all stick together. We could bring the most wonderful thing that would ever happen to Long Island into reality. We could create The Long Island Living Museum of Fine Arts........Right here somewhere.

Put ball fields and a passive park there. Take the property by eminent domain if necessary.

The mall is going in whether you like it or not!! That is the bottom line!! You talk so fluidly about the arts. I'm sure you also have a SUV and a cell phone too but you don't want the factory or the cell cite near your house, right?

they should make it a place for sports. A ball field or a paintball field. Heck maybe even an motocross track so people would stop getting their dirtbikes and quads inpounded.
