I met Kearney's replacement, AMBROSINO -- seems like an empty suit, no polish, lights on but nobody is home...there wasn't a better qualified person in the whole of the GOP to fill this seat ---other than bng from North Valley Stream (read, Cairo's area), what are his qualifications?? VERY DISHEARTENING

Ambrosino is not just an empty suit. He happens to be a man of great energy and spirit. He will strive to make the Town of Hempstead a better place to live and work.

Your shortsighted comments clearly indicate your lack of knowledge on the subject. Bng the OBSERVER I think that it is better for all of us if you are SEEN and not HEARD.

Stuff it, lawboy. Your campaign cr*p won't fly. Ambrosino is another leftover GOP hack from the old days. When will you guys get a clue?

New blood!

As a young Republican I could not agree more that new blood is needed. I think that Ambrosino is the new blood from the old guard. Mark my words, things will turn for the better under the leadership of guys like Ambrosino.

If the Nassau GOP would embrace the younger generation a little more, we would retake the county in a heart-beat.

New blood from the old guard? That's an oxymoron like government organization.

You're a first year, aren't you? Don't let them snow you.

Now that you finished first year in law school why don't you tell us all what the great Ambrosino will do for us. I saw this guy twice so far. He is a poor dresser (translates into he has no respect for himself, his office or the people he represents -- he doesn't have to wear $1000 suits but worn out unpressed Dockers are not appropriate at a public function unless it is a picnic or BBQ), he is a terrible speaker (his comments are inane and meaningless showing no polish or understanding of what he is talking about)..Tell us something of substance of this great leader --other than coming from Cairo's area.
He got up and left in the middle of a Memorial Day service--he didn't even bother to wait for a logical break in the ceremony to slip out; he just up and left!!! Yeah, yeah, I know, he had other places to go --well, to a seasoned and caring person, there is a way to slip out without offending your constituents. . . THIS GUY IS AN ARROGANT IDIOT. . . TRUST ME, HE IS STUPID AND WILL NOT MAKE ONE DECISION WITHOUT BNG TOLD WHAT TO DO BY ONE OF THE JOES. . . WAKE UP LAWBOY, you are bng sold a bill of goods!!! THEY WILL NOT DELIVER!!!!!

Praise the Lord. The Second Coming has arrived in the self-appointed splendor of two nameless hacks who use thr tax dollar funded internet time to speak about people they know nothing about.

OBSERVER - You are truly a broken man. Judging a man's character by his appearance? For shame. Claiming that his speeches are inane after listening to your hogwash. Forget it. Ambrosino is nothing like the career politicians that you have worshipped and idolized. That is exactly my point. You pointing out his differences just bolsters my argument. Let's wait until the elections and see what happens. If you are right, and by viewing your "articulate" attack against Ambrosino I can imagine you always think that you are right, he should lose. If he wins, you can cram it. Deal?

ToH GOP - Enlighten me. Tell me who I should look up to in Nassau for Republican Leadership. You tell me not to get sold, well then tell me who is buying. If you can name a competent Republican leader, I will listen. Otherwise, your comments are nothing but a fart in the wind.

"If you can name a competent Republican leader, I will listen."

You're right. No one can name a competent Republican leader.

You might want to try some local leaders like Doug Diana and Joe Parisi. John DeGrace and Rich Guardino (who jumped ship) are old guard, but two of the very, very few who have honor, independence and relevance today. Ricky LaRosa and Ray Rhoden are doing the best they can in tough situations. They are out in front. You might want to look them up and see how you can work together.

What you smell is not a fart in the wind, but the stench of the rotten old guard you look up to.

Simply another Cairo hack. Wonder if he get's a cut of the escrow accounts Cairo held for his clients.

Of course Ambrosino will win -- he's running as an incumbent thanks to the slimy Republican move of changing dicks in the middle of a screwing. . . Take out who you don't want just before the election and run this jerk as an incumbent (as they did with Ambrosino and Kate Murray and Clavin, among others).

Other than John DeGrace and a few others who still have thr self-respect and morals, there are NO "new guard" GOP leaders -- I am a member of the GOP and know all of these scumbags. And, no, before you make the statement that I "got passed over" and other sour grapes type comments, nothing can be further from the truth. I happened to have been a very successful businessperson with a fair amount of political influence on the County and TOH levels, but one reaches a point in his (my) life, when you have to say, enough is enough. . . And the deeds get so down and dirty that anyone with a moral compass can not stick around. I am probably much older than you and knew and remember the old GOP leaders; make no mistake, they were tough, inventive and slippery, but these guys today raise the game to a new level, a level that I do not want to be part of nor would I encourage my children to be part of. They are out and out crooks and sooner or later, the ax will fall. The last poster makes a point, though...HOW can you have a disbarred lawyer who admittedly stole $400,000 from an estate as First Vice Chairman and have lawyers and judges cheer him at a function. That is an absolute shame. As we say in Yiddish, a SHANDA. They should hang thr heads in shame. AND, that is just the TIP OF THE ICEBERG!!

I suggest an open election for Chairman to take place at this September's Party convention.

Someone comes forth and speaks back upstream and says "I think I can do better" let's have a free and open vote in which multiple candidates compete for the committeemembers support.

If Mondello wins....more of the same. If some else does though...then thr is a new way.
