Sorry if I'm late but who did the Democrats pick to face Balboni for Senate? I noticed that unlike 2004, he did not get the Working Families nod, but nther did anyone else in his district. Would seem N. Hempstead Dems would recruit one of thr own if they sense a big win statewide, no?

Herr Dr Balboni

Joe Hand from the BOE is running against Balboni. NH Dems don't care about this seat until Balboni is gone. NH Dems are too busy trying to figure out the following:

A) Can Galante get countywide support to run against Jay next year?

B) Who to run against Lisanne?

2007 should be very interesting!

Thanks for telling me about Joe Hand (who?). One more thing the N. Hempstead Dems are probably worrying about is who succeeds DiNapoli. Presume that if Spitzer wins, he would put in for a state job like environment or parks commissioner (which would be a shame for us, because DiNapoli could use his chairmanship to get things done)...So who would they slate to succeed him? One of thr hacks or an ethnic, like a Great Neck Iranian or N. Hyde Park Asian?

Craig wants Balboni's seat. Gerry Terry wants the seat.

GERARD TERRY IS A BACKSTABBER AND A USER. HE'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE. HE'S STAYING IN NH. HE THINKS HE IS A SOMEBODY, BUT HE'S JUST A NH NOBODY.

The Real Joe Hand

Does B, or T, still live in DiNapoli's district? I had heard he had moved.
