View Full Version : Town of Ethics Commission, there is a case waiting!

Now that Newsday has broken the story about MacArthur, can we expect to see Vincent Messina investigated and brought up on charges for violating the very codes and policies he so "vigorously" defended as Town Attorney for the Ethics Commission?

After all, as published in Newsday, and I do quote,"Messina has since left the town and is in private practice with Jonathan Sinnrch, the outside counsel who drafted the town's agreement with Southwest." Messina is in direct violation of the Ethics Commission's regulations.

Now that the Commission is aware of this new information, I certainly expect this matter will be investigated to the best of thr ability. As a TOI taxpayer, I certainly do not want to have this man collecting a pension on my dime!

Messina is a lying piece of garbage. He has been part of the problem along with McGoon. They should investigate him and his partner and I am sure they will find a medley of ethics violations and downright illegal behavior.

If Messina has always been in practice with Sinnrch then Newsday or the District Attorney should look into the serious legal issues with Town employees working with and getting paid from contractors who do business with the Town. Especially with projects as large as Southwest and other issues that the two were involved with when Messina was the Town Attorney and an employee of the Town. How much did Sinrch pay Messina, and how much did the Town pay Sinrch?????
