I've recently been thinking over the philosophy that's been thrown in my face quite a number of times on this board. Basically, if I don't love America, then I should leave.

Surely most of you realize how silly this is.

First of all, there are very few people with the resources, and the motivation to uproot themselves from thr country of birth, and move to some place that's possibly totally forgn.

But basically, the idea of "this is my country; love it or leave it" is not only ignorant, but generally unfair and unconstitutional. After all, I believe we are supposed to be living in a DEMOCRACY (well, a REPRESENTATIVE democracy) where everyone is supposed to have the chance to live how they see fit.

So basically, we're all people with different philosophies, and different opinions, and we're all stuck with each other.

And lucky for you, I think attacking ANY country right now is an awful idea, and will generally contribute to the misery of the human race. Oh, and as Ashcroft admitted under oath, not a single terrorist crime has been averted by increasing survllance on "suspected terrorists", so you can basically figure out my opinion on that one. And let's see, that CIA policy of assassinating forgn leaders (many democratically elected) should probably stop too.

Anyway, just a recap for anyone who cares.

thoughts?
